How deep can you stack them?

I just got my 75ct humidor. The only way 75 will fit is if you stack them to the top. I was just wondering how deep can you stack the sticks? Thanks
 
DK, you'll have to realize that a 75 count humi will only hold about 75 cigars of Corona or Petite Corona size. Anything (torp, double corona, churshill, etc) will reduce the number of sticks you can have in there.
 
I think what Dk is asking, and I have often wondered myself, is can you put to many cigars in a desktop to the point that the humidity doesn't get to the ones at the bottom or in the middle. In other words can you overload a desktop humidor?

If you can close the top, as ThankYouForNotSmoking says, as deep as you want.
Cigars will feed RH off each other to stabilize the entire humi.

I'm sure everyone here has seen pictures of the cigars still at the factory stacked pretty high. If the question is about squashing them, then there's nothing to worry about.Humidity should even out in a sealed environment. :cool:
 
Great, that is all I needed to know. My humi is by EWT, like I said I was told it was a 75ct and I have found the same model elsewhere saying down to 25ct! Oh well, it should work for me...at least for now.

I agree with all that, plus rotating has advantages and disadvantages. It lets the mind wander through the experience, as well letting the fingers and sense of smell enjoy the sticks. However, as the fingers enjoy the contents of the humidor sometimes they fail to perform properly and cigars end up somehow damaged. So while rotation is fine and has it's benefits, it also has it's drawbacks and is certianly not a required function.
 
A word of caution ... If you use a traditional style humidifier (the disc-shaped style that you fill with distilled water)that mounts on the lid of your humi, do not overfill your desktop humi so that your cigars press against the humidifier. You will end up with wet cigars. Trust me, I wish I didn't speak from experience. :whistling:
