I seem to remember some interest in Vince Flynn's books by some members here, so I thought this a worthy topic.

I just finished this one last night. I sat down at about 9:00 and read until I was finished (about 2:00AM).

If you are a fan of Mr. Flynn's Mitch Rapp series, I highly recommend this book, it is one of his best. There is a lot less technical stuff in this one and the action is pretty much non-stop. The thing I really like about Flynn is that each book seems to get better. The writing is much tighter and the story seems to flow much better with each release. I can't wait until next year's release!

I've also just strted the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. I would recommend this series for any Mitch Rapp fans. I'm a little late to this series, and I can't believe I've missed it in the past. I've only read the first couple in the series, but I really like them so far.

Anyone have any other recommendations for this genre? Or even crime/mystery recommendations?

The Reacher books are some of my favorites, Never heard of Vince Flynn, I'll be sure to look for his books next time I'm at the book store.

More like Clancy but not as technical, IHO. I love the Mitch Rapp books, thanks for the heads up on this one.

Mr. Hawk hit it right on the head.

Vince Flynn has said in interviews that he has been a huge Clancy fan but was turned off as his novels got more and more bogged down in the technical aspects of things. Flynn has purposely tried to walk the line between the technical and the less technical. This book is by far the least technical of his books. He seems to have evolved to this point and I personally like it. The tech stuff is great, but this story flows so well that all the tech would hurt it.

I quit reading Clancy myself because the story seemed to become secondary to the technical.
