Well I guess its my turn to return the kind favors my fellow CP'ers have passed on to me. Due to my limited knowledge of cigars, this little game will be associated with... 'The Usual Suspects'. One of my alltime favorite movies. I've got a nice little newbie sampler all packed up ready to go but I must warn you, this is really directed for newbies or those who like mild-med sticks. Here's the rules:

-Must be a member of CP for at least 1 month or have over 50 posts.
-I would prefer it be someone who can keep this cipher going by donating cigars, holding a contest, etc.. But I'll leave that up to you.
-First person to PM me all the correct answers win. EDIT: 1 answer per person.

Simple, so here goes:

1.During 'the usual suspects', what was kobayashi's occupation? -Lawyer

2.Which person was smoking a cigar in more than one scene? (either real name or movie name)? -Giancarlo Esposito - Jack Baer

3.What 3 items does Verbal Kint leave with from the police station? -gold lighter, gold watch, cigarettes

4.Where was the emerald smuggler (Paul Bartel) going after he left the airport with the 2 cops? (hint, I was born here) -Staten Island

5.When Agent Kujan notices the name 'Redfoot' on the board, What names are above and below 'Redfoot'? -Shank & Thelma

6.At the end of the movie, what is the last 2 lines/quote in Verbal Kints voice right before the end credits? -"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And then like that, he's gone"

Damn, I'll have to make these things harder in the future. Looks like we have a winner!

I have only seen this movie around 17 times. :whistling: I have gone back and tried to figure out when the first chance would be to figure out who Keyser Soze was, and well, you can't until the very end of the movie. Nothing gives it away. I almost let it slip here, but then that may spoil it for someone who hasn't seen it yet. And if you haven't gone and seen it, It ROCKS!

I did a really dumb thing one night. I liked the movie so much that I never really noticed how much cussing goes on in the movie. It just seemed to fit the characters, and I was in college around a bunch of people who cussed anyway. Well, I went to the video store and rented it to watch w/ my Dad and Stepmom. Moments into the movie I became accutely clear on every single cussword that was said. About 1/3 into the movie she stands up, reads me the riot act for bringing such filth and negative energy into her house, and goes off to bed. My dad and I finished watching the movie. I think he liked it, but couldn't really _say_ that he liked it, because of her reaction.

Geez ... it is just a word. :p

Thanks for the contest!

Uh... I've never seen this movie... and I watch a lot of movies. Guess I'll have to add it to the list of "must see's".

That's fargin hilarious BD! :D Your package will be sent out tomorrow. I'll post the dc# as well.

And you definitely want to see it stevehawk. I hope I didn't spoil it for you. I didn't realize until after I posted. :(

No spoiler here. I purposely avoided reading the questions and answers for that very reason. :)

Have you ever watched the movie with the director commentary on? They give some nice background info and point out "mistakes" that made it into the movie. Great background info on it if you really enjoy the movie.

I will tonight Zeebra. :) I was never really a fan of watching with the commentary on but since I've watched it so many times, it would be cool to get some 'behind the scenes' info. I think I saw somehting like that on AMC where they showed a movie and threw in some 'movie facts' about certain scenes. Nice feature.

Well, it looks like target was successfully hit.

But can you fill me in on the cipher thing? I'm game, I just am not sure what you were hoping to keep going. Another contest similar to this?

TIA,
- C

Hey BD, I was just passing on the generosity from Wasy's contest that myself and brickhouse won and to thank the CP community. But its entirely up to you. A contest, random bomb, etc. would be great. And thanks for the heads up. I hope the target enjoys em. :)

very good movie, has a few nice twists to it. kevin spacey plays his character very well, movie have very good casting.

Definitely a must-see. If you like it you should also check out 'way of the gun' by some of the same crew. It is another twisty action movie (although very violent so definitely not one for those turned off by that sort of thing.)

Cool. Thanks again for the contest. I love this movie. Do you know if that is the official way to speel Keyser Soze? Is there an official way? My buddy and I each spelled it differently, which is different than how you spelled it. ???

And a special thanks for passing those smokes off to stewa070!! Way to work on a surface to air guided missle strike!

Well, I think I have a contest in mind. And it will be a cypher of sorts. I'll see if I can figure it out and post it tonight.

Cheers!

PS. I liked "Way of the Gun" too. But man ... that is definitely a violent movie. I really like Benicio Del Toro as an actor.
