A bunch of friends and I get together informally in Northwestern CT (actually in Warren) every so often and sit around drinking and smoking at one of the local watering holes. Anyone interested? If we get enough folks I will make arrangements to expand the party...

First the bad news, seems the Jazz place does not allow smoking. We will call this a case of happy ears from my source and I will apologize for getting everyones hopes up, including my own.

I am working out the details for an informal event somewhere else. One of the local cigar shops (Buttheads of Danbury) is interested in helping us with a get together. I am going down there on Monday to see what they think. Details to come on what I can pull together.

In Connecticut? Nearly impossible if you are not at one of the casinos. A bunch of us here attended a cigar dinner at Black Eyed Sally's in Hartford this past summer, but the restaurant owner had to close his doors to the public for the evening in order to circumvent the smoking ban.

I refuse to believe it. Well, so far every place I called that usually lets us smoke has said no now that the weather has gone cold. I have some places still up my sleve. More details on Monday.
