Chicago and Indy

I will be in the Chicago area tommorrow night. Have a meeting downtown and then staying out by the airport. I have been to some of the local shops there before, but wanted to know where else to smoke. Have also enjoyed steaks and Hemingway's at Dikta's before.

Thursday night in Indy. I get in the afternoon and will have time to look around. Never had the chance to visit the local establishments here. Staying a little outside the city but will have a car when I arrive.

Any help would be appreciated.

Any one around would be welcomed.

In Chicago, Gibson's is always good as is Gene & Georgetti (an old school Italian steak house - -500 N. Franklin Street, Chicago(312) 527-3718).

In the city of chicago it is against the law to smoke in bars and restaurants.

Also the ram brewery is in schaumburg not rosemont.

ehhh wrong again!!
They have 2 yrs to comply so we should be safe until 2008.

You can still smoke in bars downtown.
Especially in the bar areas of quality Steak places.
Morton;s , Gibsons, Ditka's (they even envourage cigar smoking)

And yes there is a RAM Brewery in Rosemont (as I frequent it weekly)...also one in Schaumburg and also one in Wheeling.

Nicky Blaines is a nice cigar bar in downtown Indy. 1/2 block south of the circle on Meridian. I'll lookup the exact address later.

There's a Shula's here, but I haven't been there before.

Other than that I can't help. I would offer some company but I'm stuck on swingshift.

Alex, went Gibsons as you suggested. Nice place, was too crowded from a convention across the street.

Managed to get a seat a the bar and have great steak.

Finished dinner off with a DC Maximus Standford 90th.
