A few years ago I watched the TV version of his concert for his induction to the Rock-n-Roll hall of fame. I thought, I never got to see him perform live.

That ended tonight. Awesome. A lot of stuff from his new album that I am not familiar with ( but easily could be -- they all have his trademark sound)

Betty Lou is getting out tonight -- Worth the price of admission right there.
Beautiful loser
Katmandu
Turn the Page
Sunspot Baby

Yeah it was all sweet.

So now my list of perfomers that I want to see, and still have a chance to see, just got a lot shorter.

Who is on your list? Am I forgetting anybody else?

I always wanted to see Tom Petty.

I've seen about everyone else I've wanted to. The others on my "list" are all impossible (The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Cash, and a few others who are no longer on this planet or together).

When I was growing up and listening to Sabbath, Zepplin, Tull, Uriah Heep, etc there was no chance of seeing a concert anywhere near where I lived. I did get a chance to see a few while we were travelling (The Coop was my first concert, Montreal Forum, X/Mas of 73) but outside of that, I had to wait for years to see Neil Young, ACDC, BB King, Buddy Guy, Bob Dylan (he blew big time).

February of '99 was my hilight. I saw the Black Sabbath Reunion Tour with the original 4 at the Palace of Auburn Hills and that was one awesome night. I've had really no urge to go to a concert since that since I can always say my last one was the best.

There are some musicians passed on I'd have loved to see but we know that'll never happen. SRV tops that list.

I never got to see Janis solo so she would top my list. I've seen everyone else that i wanted too. For Newfie, I saw SRV open for Men at Work in Seattle.....terrible show, the place was half empty and echoed horribly.

I'd like to see Paul McCartney yet...
I'm very fortunate that I've seen McCartney on 3 separate tours. His is the hands-down best show you'll ever spend too much on - guaranteed.

And based on that comment, you can probably guess that the Beatles would've been the concert for me to catch...

Sir Paul would definately be somewhere near the top of my list. As for concerts I paid too much for I saw the Stones and wanted my money back, CSNY was OK but not worth the money, Dylan was so so. For $40 I will continue to see Neil Young anytime I can. I still really want to see Willie Nelson.

When I was young I didn't have the money to see to many concerts, now that I am older and have the money there are no bands I would pay to see...

Anyone know where Elvis is playing.

Growing up in Las Vegas, I thought Frank Sinatra was going to be playing forever. Then one day he died! I took for granted that celebrities can croak too, and to this day I still kick myself for not going and seeing him play live when I could. Since that happened I made sure to see other bands and performers play, Lou Rawls, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, U2, Tears For Fears, DR. John, and now I am very grateful. Can't see Lou Rawls or Tears for Fears..who knows how much longer Tony Bennett will be around.....do it while you can, you never know whats going to happen!

LOL, I could imagine that Bob Dylan live would not be the most pleasing concert! Great songwriter, but singer..............

OMFG, that brings back some memories. I remember around 1988 or so Run-DMC had just put out their album, and the Beastie Boys first album had come out too. Well, not to bother with too many details but we went to see the Run-DMC/Beastie Boys concert up in either Reno or Lake Tahoe, I can't remember I was pretty young. I remember Run-DMC rocked the house, and the Beastie Boys, were so messed up they could barely walk on the stage straight! They sounded like crap, and their show stunk on ice. Fast forward now about 5 or 6 years to Lollapolooza in Las Vegas, I want to say it was the summer of 94: Beastie Boys played there and they put on a terrific show!! Got to see a lot of bands at those shows!

Frankie S., SRV, Muddy Waters, Ella Fitzgerald, Zepplin, Clapton

and oh yea The Beastie Boys.
