The Dalmore

I recently received a package in the mail from The Dalmore. I believe it was in response to the free flask link that was posted a month or so back. I did not receive a flask, but rather a key with a postcard. The card reads as follows:

"We present you a special key that will unlock the finest of rewards at our distillery. Cheers and Happy Holidays.

Happy Holidays and congratulations. You now hold a special key given only to the most select of The Dalmore connoisseurs, the members of The Dalmore Fellowship. With this key, you will be rewarded at our distillery in Scotland with a glass of our rarest and finest treasured Scotch. One that is unavailable in the States."

It continues on talking about the distillery, and then concludes with:

"This rare Scotch offering in only available in 2007, so we hope to see you soon."

I am definately not going to Scotland anytime soon, so I thought I would ask if anyone else was, or if anyone lived there and could make use of this key.

The flask offer was for Glenfiddich an entirely different distillery. Dalmore is owned by Whyte & Mackay while Glenfiddich is owned by William Grant & Sons.

The keys are hard to come by and it is well worth the trip if you're a scotch drinker.

It has always been a dream of mine to go, but I am in no position to be able to unfortunately.

With this being a rare thing, I hope that someone can use it, and not let it go to waste.

That is interesting indeed. As I know what Society that is and understand the offer. Yeah, if all goes well on my end, I should be heading to Scotland once again in 2007 sometime. I also put in for that flask and still havent seen it either so who knows what is coming my way. Just let me know.

The key looks like a miniature skeleton key stamped on one side with "The Dalmore". On the ring end of the key there is a deer (assuming a deer) head. It is pretty nice looking. My camera died on me, or I would put up some pics.
