Ebay sucks!

"These cigars are ULTRA Rare. They are much harder to find (and more expensive) than OPUS X." That he is only selling the box is made ambiguous by that statement.

Ebay always amazes me.

My wife and I go to auctions all the time and buy boxes of junk. We hold several yard sales during the summer as well as use Ebay to make some extra cash with our auction booty.

Sometimes I will find some odd thing that I think is junk, I find little information about it online, yet I put it up on Ebay and I make 50-100 bucks off of the thing. I start my bids out at 99 cents with no reserve, just let the rabid bidders pay what they want. The stuff I think will sell well usually sells for less than I expect and the junk goes for more.

Go figure.

That listing is too shady. He knew by wording it the way he did people would assume it came with the cigars. If it wasn't for the pictures further down the page there would be no way to tell. I've been guilty of not scrolling through the entire listing before. I'll bet this guy was counting on the same thing from others.

I have 2 48 boxes and one 55 box, i think i should sell the empties...i could use the extra money...and if idiots will pay it, i will sell it.

Some boxes are nice and I think are worthy of buying ($20.00 max). I have some empty Opus X boxes that I am going to get rid of soon, that are extras I bought as part of bigger lots. All of the rarity "Mumbo Jumbo" is B.S.

Edit- Spelling and punctuation

The two or three B&M's around me, that sell those smokes say they do not sell the empty boxes because they get just as many calls about the empty boxes as they do the Anejo, Opus, Hemi cigar stock. I guess it is inconvenient for them, just another reason I'd rather do business on line or with a B/SOTL.

A bigger fool is born everyday...

(Note to self - please examine this statement next year when you consider purchasing Anejos)

I wouldn't blame eBay, if someone wants to pay crazy money for something then that's their choice.

The same high bidder on that auction was also the high bidder on an empty Opus X box where he was lucky that no one else bid up the price on.

Hats off to the seller who was able to get a ridiculous price for an empty box.

I remember the auction where a guy sold an empty PS2 box and made a ton of money off of it. Some people just do not read the descriptions or question the validity of the auction.

It is not eBay's fault. They get their money, regardless of a sell.

I just wish they would go back to selling body parts, I need a new leg. :whistling:
