I remember Dennis. That goes way back for me though. I used to listen to him and, eventually (also back in the day), Alex Bennet on Live 105, KITS, when it was decent. Damn Alex Bennet used to have great guests...Bobby Slayton, Ellen (when she was not widely known and doing stand up), Greg Proops (of Whose Line fame these days), etc.

Sad to hear that Dennis is in bad shape, but thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family that he'll be doing better soon.

P.S. - for some reason, everytime I think of this era, I always remember Country Dick Montana (RIP) and the Beatfarmers...God they were awesome and put on great shows...used to see them at the Ajax Club in SJ many, many times.

Yup, I was a huge Alex Bennet and Joe Regelski fan as well. My wife works at the radio station where Dennis was at when he had the heart attack and there are quite a few of the old KOME gang working there now.

I heard Big Rick Stuart from Live 105 is over at KOME now (or has been for awhile anyway). And where is Steve Masters these days?

The last I heard, Big Rick stuart is at KFOG, which still gives him some freedom with the playlist so his afternoon drive show is really good. Steve Masters was at Live 105 but I haven't listenend in a while, I think he's also a Music Director as well as still running his DJ company.

EDIT: Big Rick Stuart , Steve Masters

You're, Big Rick is at KFOG...that's what I heard. I just have KOME on the brain now.

Your KOME spot on the dial ;)

Jesus, Steve Masters website is a virtual time portal. I had actually seen that before, but forgot about it. Some of those pics....I think I was at that Shoreline show. Lol. Seen him there many times, but remember him at the very first Lollapalooza as well. But every shot of him on his site, he's got those pegged jeans on...please tell me he's still not in those. Lol.

But, I used to live for his Masters' Mix, recording it straight to tape on my ol' Kenwood.

I remember getting those and sticking them everywhere...one place being on my 1st Rob Roskopp, Gator and whatever other deck of the day I was on...when not in SC surfing. Much to the dismay of my parents' neighbors, I had a half-pipe in my backyard.
