I just got an email about the upcoming tour that Roger Waters is going to do, and it sounds really sweet.

"The Dark Side Of The Moon" - The Return Engagement Tour combines a full evening's worth of music comprised of two sets plus encores with state-of-the-art staging, lighting and sound. Set One is an overview of Waters' music including early Pink Floyd and solo material. Set Two presents Roger Waters and full band performing "The Dark Side Of The Moon," from start-to-finish.

I'm not sure what's going on this summer with all the tours of some of my favorite bands, or if it's just the first time I've paid attention, but this is great!

Billy Joel, The Police, Roger Waters, Genesis, Rush

Rage Against the Machine reuniting in CA

do you have a link to the Waters story? I am curious when the actual dates and cities will be announced as well as when the tickets are going on sale

Rogers Dark side of the Moon tour last summer must have went VERY well as he is now playing venues twice the size of the ones he did last year. I also am very disappointed at his ticket prices for this tour $148 per ticket for Continental Arena in NJ, he of all people was the last I would expect to bang out his fans.

Saw him at the Garden State Art Center last summer where they actually lost the pig into the night sky for I believe $40 a ticket.

Very disappointing to see his ticket prices go the way of the Eagles and Police

I got my tickets this morning, should be a great show!

Just talked with a couple friends at the bar about attending this show...

Speaking ofwhich, have you had a chance to check out Zed Leppelin? We just started seeing these guys around the Hopkins area... pretty damn good Zep cover band.

Speaking of again, have you heard the latest rumors of Jason Bonham getting together with Paige and Plant for a reunion tour? Quite old rumors actually, but they are starting to resurface again!

I picked up my tickets the day they went on sale for Philly. I got floor tickets around the midway point. I can't wait. The price was a little steep but I figure its as close as I'm going to get to seeing the actual Pink Floyd.

Feb 25, 1980 Nassau Coliseum the greatest show I have and ever will see!

I saw Water's tour stop in TOronto... mesmerizing and amazing! Not nearly as good as the Gilmour tour, but still phenomenal!!! I'll be seeing the Police in Toronto in July (22nd) and Rush at Darien Lake on July 4th (my birthday!).

This is going to be one friggin kick ass summer!!

Gilmour must have been the 2nd coming of Christ...

We saw the Roger Waters show two nights ago, and all I can say was that it was simply amazing. By far one of the best shows I've ever seen, and as a former high rigger and spotlight operator, I've seen alot!

Here's the setlist for those interested. And for those who are on the fence about whether or not it's worth whatever they're charging for tickets, GO! You won't regret it!

First set

1. In The Flesh 2. Mother 3. Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun 4. Shine On You Crazy Diamond 5. Have A Cigar 6. Wish You Were Here 7. Southampton Dock 8. The Fletcher Memorial Home 9. Perfect Sense 10. Leaving Beirut (new song) 11. Sheep

Second set

12. Speak to Me/Breathe 13. On the Run 14. Time 15. The Great Gig In The Sky 16. Money 17. Us And Them 18. Any Colour You Like 19. Brain Damage 20. Eclipse
Encore

Hey Gonz,
I'm super stoked at the moment to see this show (again), having seen it last December in Toronto. Gonz, the show is amazing! Though it sorely lacks the finesse and vocals of Gilmour and the amazing caressing touch of Rick Wright on keyboards, this show will not fail to please!

So far my concert indulgences will include Roger Waters on July 12th; The Police on July 22; Meatloaf on July 28th (ok, two out three ain't bad! hahahah)

oh yeah, and Genesis in Toronto on September 7th.

Gotta love summers!
