I was watching the news tonight and there was a story of an old lady.....101 YEARS OLD. She got bashed by some lowlife creep.
What the F... is going on with our world and the people in it.
I just do not understand the mentality

I saw that........Lowest scum of the earth........I wanted to jump threw the TV and strangle the coward.....

I think at that age (101) you would have done your time and should be treated with the respect you deserve.
The respect for other life is just gone. :(

Not trying to be a pessimist, but it may get worst before it gets better in this present world. That is one reason that a place like this is sort of a haven; a place where a bunch of reasonable people get together to communicate and share thoughts. My 2 cents.

Indeed i agree that people in this world are surely going down the shitter...

BUT!!! there is a cure for the true assclowns of the world. One thing that will make them take a good long look at how they are living their life! and that my brothers and sisters can be obtained with 3 items and 3 items only. A burlap sack a shovel handle and a mine shaft for those poor souls to think about their remaining hours among the living.

Cheers!

I also saw that the police think this dirtbag may be responsible for the same type of attack on an 85 year old. Just a few minutes alone with the pile of sheet.

Ok, time to play devil's advocate.

Just because someone is old, doesn't mean they deserve any form of respect. What if that elderly woman was a notorious drug dealer back in her day, and this attack was a contracted hit for the past she led? Yeah, farfetched, but you never know. I myself like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but based on information at hand and past experience, no one is willing to bash in an elderly person unless there is a reason behind it.

I should also add that most of the elderly I meet are very disrespectful towards themselves as well as their peers and juniors. I won't go as far as choking all of them, but there are a few that deserve a wake up call.

disclaimer - no, I am not Seavita (Vince).

Good on you for your honesty mate :D

It seems like as times go on society regresses back to other times. It is sad to see senseless violence of any kind in this day and age. Its becoming a time when kids are no longer kids and adults are no longer adults it is a sad thing.

Only from a 25 year old ! :whistling:

"Just because someone is old, doesn't mean they deserve any form of respect." You are right, A persons age is irrelavent, they should be automatically respected until they have disrespected you.

"based on information at hand"
I saw this story, there was not enough information given to make that judgement'.

"past experience, no one is willing to bash in an elderly person unless there is a reason behind it."
You have no experience, you are 25! I lived and or worked in NYC for 45 years, there are people undeservedly bashed on an hourly basis. ;)

People have been looking at incidents like this and pointing out the sad state of society since forever.

I live in God's waiting room, where the left lane speed limit is 10-15 MPH slower than the posted speed limit.

Old people are OK, a little better (out of respect for their age and the fact that many of them saved us from the Nazis ) but no worse than any other group of people, IMHO.
