Handing in my notice

Wow, that sucks Dickson. :(

Sounds like their loss more than yours. ;)

Best wishes to you, I'm sure you'll get another opportunity to work your magic somewhere else!

Does this mean you'll be home during the day in Bristol? If so, sometime when I'm traveling though town (which I do more often than you'd think on my way out to western CT) maybe I'll catch ya at home. :D

I've found that during early rush hour that route 72 is much quicker than route 4.

Ditto on their loss. Someone with your talents and skills will do wonders elsewhere and you will be glad you did what you did when you look back on this. You will do great!!

An update is in order.....I have accepted a position as a Mentor for troubled youth. Having a bit of experience in this field as well :whistling: . It seemed appropriate that I accept the opportunity. I have six kids and, they're all good kids. Matt, Zach, Zach, Austin, Lester and Jomar. They range in age from 6-15. Seeing the smiles on their faces when I make them happy or laugh is the most gratifying experience on could have.

The money is know where near the same, now to figure out how to make this work. Thank You all for the support you've shown me.

My wife works with children as well. It's sad that those who help are never really compensated (monetarily) anywhere near what they should be.

How'd you wind up with a pair of Zachs?

You'll do fine with this job. You may have to get creative to keep the household up, but it'll work out. Sounds like you were supposed to be doing this.

When you think about it, the people that have the greatest opportunity in changing the future and our life on this planet, the people who work with our children, seem to get compensated in inverse proportion to their importance in the lives of the kids they are trying to help. It is sad that our priorities don't compensate them the way they should be.
