Nothing more than anything else in the lobby that's off topic. The entire thing, "Simple minds are easily amused" is a pretty common saying, so it was nothing more than a conversation starter to see where things went. Gary got it going in the right direction.

Yet again, a flame-war is being started for no apparent reason. As of right now, your thread is considered BAITING and is against our policy.

The way I see it, this question about starting a flame war is pointed in the wrong direction. I think if you look back at the original posts, it's pretty easy to see where the flame war started, unless you're wearing rose colored glasses. I don't start these flame wars Rod, but I will join in as long as you allow the originators of them to spread their dribble. Unless that's wrong too, maybe only members who are in the "in group" can swear at people, call them names, tell them to "fug off" and not be publically reprimanded.

I'd suggest you proceed forward in your posts with nothing but respect towards Rod. He's given you a ton of slack on his board so that you can promote your clocks/lamps/humidors on the forums and behind the scenes. Back in February you stated here that you had already sold / traded for 100 cigar box clocks ~ at $30 -$40 a clock, that's an estimated $3500.00 in sales/ trades, not including the sales of your cigar box lamps, humidors, etc. Hefty $$$ for 5 months of membership. Take note, the last person who promoted his wares for personal gain here was DaveWF.

In reality - he's just really cranky because this quarter's clock sales are down significantly now that people are giving them away and/or making their own...

I thought you had only sold 10 or so clocks here. My sponsors don't even pay anywhere NEAR $3,500 a year! Nowhere near that amount!!! And you have the nerve to have an attitude Wade? While at first I didn't agree with Neal's little clock scheme, but in the end he did a damn good job at proving how you're profiteering. This is freak'n nuts. While other's may look at Neal, Kirk, George as shit stirrers, my hat's off to these guys.

Corporate America is full of money hungry whores (and no Wade, I'm not calling you a money hungry whore). The cigar community in general is something quite different. Most consumers in this industry actually care about their hard earned money. Most of the American public has been brainwashed by the large corporations. Go buy a car, and they won't haggle with you. Buy a new computer and you have to buy from a big name chain/corporation. There are no more mom/pop shops anymore; they have all been washed away by the big corporations. It's really sad. I like to believe that cigar smokers are a little different, and we watch out for one another. How many gouger's do we have peddling their cigars here? None, since TW Cigars was kicked out.

I don't mean to stray off topic, but the fact remains that we are all part of this community not only for the wealth of information that it offers, but also to get fair deals on cigars, accessories, etc. I see people bombing, trading, doing cigar splits, etc everyday here. That's what CP is about, being part of a small community where we can trust one another, not profit from one another.

Wade, if I were you, I'd try to redeem myself by exempting myself from any controversial discussions. Posting this thread was nothing but bait, and you know it. Neal took it and ran with it. In the end, it came back to haunt you. CP really does have a lot to offer. If you give a little, you'll receive a lot. Just my advice to you.

Wade, Neal never said you made $3500, you did. And it wasn’t Neal who directed our attention to that fact but I’m very glad it was pointed out because it also pointed to other VERY troubling issues. In the thread that MMM linked, you were selling cigars that you first said you received as part of clock trades and as bombs (otherwise known as GIFTS). When it was pointed out to you that selling off gifts is not accepted here you then retracted and said they were just cigars you didn’t like from the clock trades. I have to wonder why you would trade clocks for cigars you don’t like. The more I read your posts the more amazed I am at your audacity and lack of character.


Understand Wade that I believe strongly in free enterprise. If you want to make and sell clocks I wish you the best. Get a business license and go for it. But I’d be happier if you did it somewhere else.

1.) CP has rules, and you don't care to follow those rules. Instead, you want to come here, open shop, and do as you please. Honestly, I could care less if you sold a few clocks, or traded clocks, etc... When you use CP for personal gain, and then SELL the cigars that were traded, that is BS. We have reputable venders here, who offer this community deals you can't find elsewhere. Your attitude towards this community is what I find most disturbing, not the fact that you made a few thousand bucks off your clocks.

2.) You come here and show little to no respect towards the community in general. If you don't have a passion for cigars, then go elsewhere.

3.) Don't ever PM me saying that "you're receiving a bunch of PM's from people who can't stand Neal, Kirk, George, etc". My response to those people is GO FIND ANOTHER CIGAR FORUM. Why are they still here? Why don't they have the balls to come to me? Wade - People who use this excuse usually end up banned. It's just a trend I've noticed.

4.) Your language is dis-respectful towards this entire community.

5.) I don't have the ability to read your PM's, or anyone else's PM's. Only a low life peice of scum "admin" would stoop to doing something so low. If you don't have the balls to say it to me, then it means nothing. I don't go around looking for information, so don't accuse me of having the ability to read PM's. We run Invision Power Board (www.ibforum.com). We use MD5 password encryption (so far, un"hack"able). Go to their site and see if it's even possible, I think you'll answer your own question.
