Anyone ever tried Colitas? They are supposed to be a good substitute for Cohibas. You can get them for about $1 a stick. Let me know your thoughts.

I think I had a doozy of a post all ready to go, but I think I'd better just pass on this one..... :whistling:

And, by all means, please be sure to post a review....can't wait.

Have fun - B.B.S.

wow, I am low on money and don't want to give up on cigars.

Sorry I asked

Ahhh don't get all ruffled up. People just bustingt your chops. You asked for opinions and I guess they gave you one . . . in a bit of a comical way.

If you are looking for good cheap smokes check out some of the bundles offered at Famous such as the La Flordita line. Good for the price.

Agreed. You'd have gotten lots better answers with "What do you guys recommend for decent inexpensive smokes" than the question you asked.

Holt's has some very inexpensive bundle smokes in their latest catalog that might be good ones. A lot of guys smoke the heck out of Connie's. I personally watch for Padron 2000's to go on sale and think they are the best inexpensive cigar going, even better with a year or two on 'em.

Personally, I'd rather smoke one good cigar than five cheapies, but YMMV......

I know a guy that swears genuine Cohibas smell like woodchuck piss. :whistling: How do the Colitas smell?

I just went in on a split of a Connie sampler. Haven't tried them yet. I have taken responses to that post seriously :)
I have had the Padron and liked it but I can't see myself spending $70-80 a box right now.

Cheapest cigar I can recommend:

http://www.holts.com/category.html?id=198120&trail=86665

...it's Holt's house brand "copy" of the Fumas. Mixed filler, but for about $0.80 a stick, they may be just fine for a guy on a super tight budget.

I'd still rather smoke one Padron 2000 than three of these, but to each his own.

Actually, all of the Holt's house brand bundle smokes have the distinct possibility of being "decent".....probably worth a look.

Thanks for the recommendation. I really wanted to try the Padron Fumas, they were supposed to be one of the best sticks for the money. Too bad they don't make them anymore.

It was my understanding that Padron still produces the Padron Fumas, but they no longer distribute them to retailers. I believe they are still available at the Padron factory in Miami. Might be worth researching...
