O.K. ... newbie mistake. I am a first time homeowner and this is the first season of taking care of my own lawn. I should have thought twice about the amount of rain coming to the northeast in the next two days. I applied the TB w/halts today and figured the rain would help it to soak in and activate. But now I am worried about runoff from too much rain. How will I know? Do I reapply again or just wait a few months and proceed with the next feeding? Any thoughts? Thanks all

I did the same today. It has to rain on the pellets eventually to disolve in. Not sure how much rain you are expected to get, but I doubt reapplying would be recommended. You can alway call or stop in a Tru Value, Home Depot etc and get thier opinion.

I would recommend that as the wind blows and the rain falls, just take out a good cigar and enjoy it. Like washing your care before a snowstorm. Good luck.

don't worry about product runoff or leaching out. that is unless your lawn turns into a river... but then you've got other problems.

I'm with garrett on this one. I apply a half dose of Halts after a snow, any time from late Dec to late Jan - or both. I lay it on the snow and it's kind of like peppering a marshmallow! That removes the guesswork. I've done it that way for 20 years and not had a problem. I lay pesticide right about now. I strictly follow the label instructions.
