Can ANYONE explain to me what that ending meant? I thought I sat on the on/off switch for my remote.
I thought Paulie was gonna whack Tony in front of the pork store.
Then I thought Paulie flipped.
I also thought that at the end:
a. Tony is whacked in the booth
b. Tony and family are wiped out
c. the restaurant blows up and Meadow is sprared 'cause she could not park her car
d. Meadow is killed in crossfire as she enters
Obviously none of this happened and my screen went black for 15 seconds
Up until the vert last scene I was pretty happy with the finale: lots of tension and my heart is still pounding.
I have been a defender and a HUGE fan since show # 1, even when some of the shows were bad. But this ending REALLY sucked. I honestly cannot defend an ending such as this. Why in the world would they build the tension up in the restaurant the way they did only to pull the rug out from under us like that?
Given how this mini-season was going I really was expecting a home run for the finale. Instead, we got a HUGE strikeout.
VERY, VERY disappointed.
