Blue Rhino Lighter

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for lighter questions...

I just bought "The Beast" Blue Rhino triple flame lighter. It came empty so I filled it up with triple refined butane and adjusted the flame to about the mid point. I could see just a small bubble in the fill window so I thought it was filled properly. I was only able to get about 4-5 cigars lit with it. Is that normal or did I make a mistake filling it up? The lighter performs great but if it's got a bigger carbon footprint and needs to be refueled more frequently than my car, I might go back to matches. Anyone else have experience with the Beast?

I would imagine, although I have not experience with that lighter, that a triple-flame lighter would run dry much quicker. Probably three times as fast as my single flame lighter :sign: Also, the size of the fuel storage tank on that lighter may be really small. I have had a few lighters that hold very little fuel. You also may want to run it dry and then, before refueling, depress the valve with a pin or something to out-gas all of the remaining gasses. Occasionally, there will be a pressure buildup that will prevent your lighter from taking in a full supply of fuel.

Yeah that comment was a little tongue in cheek. I'd burn full barrels of oil in my living room if it would light my cigars properly

I'll try to completely empty it and give it another refill.

With regard to the tank size, it has a 1.3 gram tank. I see some doubles with a .5 gram tank and some with 1 gram tanks.

That reminds me . . . I have a coal fired lighter that I should really use more.
