We're going seafood this year, Chinese contaminants or not. Lobster tails on sale at the neighborhood seafood store, just roll them up in aluminum foil with some butter and lemon wedges, mighty tasty. Also going with some crab legs, and i'm thinking mussels in a white wine sauce, all cooked on the grill. Of course corn, potato salad, and a tomato, onion, cilantro, jalepano salad, accompanied with plenty of beer. Believe me when i say, my wife will add to this list, Everyone will waddle out of the Sack house late at night. How about you? :)

Have to keep it economical this year... dogs, burgers, wings, jerk pork tenderloin, steak teriyaki skewers, and some top round london broil. Corn and banana peppers done on the grill. Any and everything else is up to whoever else is coming. I don't do side dishes, and when I'm cooking, I leave dessert up to someone else.

Of course, plenty of beer, wine, and scotch, and some good smoke while grilling. Best part of this year is I'm hosting, so I'm not driving anywhere.

Edit:
And as I'm typing this, already with the fuggin complaints about the pork... "Who likes spicy besides you?" Ummm.... me. First there's too much food, now one dish everyone might not like.

I am going with some Porterhouse Bison Steaks! Yum :)

We usually do the hot dogs/ hamburger thing, but this year will be a nice treat!

We are gonna go with BBQ Salmon, and the usual, brats, burgers ect... I am going to do Hillbilly's pepperoncini recipe once again, and some oysters as well! Also, all the usual fanfare... salds and what not.
Wash it all down with a keg full of a nice wheat beer, homebrew of course!!!

I'm looking forward to the 4th!!!

We'll do the usual brats and burgers. I love to grill the fancier stuff, but nobody (besides my wife) seems to appreciate all the work, so f them!

I save the good stuff when it's just us and the kids.

Breakfast- weber gas griddle Bacon, pancakes, eggs

Mid afternoon lunch- Nathans hot dogs, Cheeseburgers

And for the electric rotissire- Nothing planned so far

Sack what time am I supposed to show up? Nice menu :D

Beer butt chicken.

Slide the chicken down over an open can of beer and place in the smoker for 4 hours. Salmon and brats on the smoker while the chicken cooks/steams.

Lots of beer!

...even our kids don't seem to dig the "fancy" stuff so brats and burgers will be on the grill here. Got plenty of "carbonated adult beverages" and some great smokes queued up. We'll have friends and our kids coming and going all day....should be a great afternoon.

I'm going to see if I can finagle the rest of the week off.....wish me luck.....

Happy 4th to all - B.B.S.

Will be down at my place in the Keys, both spear-fishing and line. Whatever I ended up snagging, that's what will be thrown on the grill. Hopefully that will consist of some grouper and hog snapper. Also have some generous porterhouses and florida lobster as a back up, but I generally don't come back to the marina empty handed.

Definitely have some great libations and smokes lined up as well.

Brats, burgers, pork tenderloin, maybe some ribs (haven't decided on those yet), and of course lots of beer, scotch, and stogies.

Shrimp and Kielbasi on the grille for appetizers - Baby back ribs for dinner - Can't wait.

p.s. - lots of alcohol and cigars
