Well, I am by no means an expert here, but here are my 2 cents. These still have a lot of power. The Ligero is evident in the cigar to be certain. That being said, they are smoother throughout than the Oscuro's. It started off pretty spicy but after about 1.5 inches, it mellowed a lot. The smoke became lusher, for lack of a better word. There was some flavor I was trying to get from it but couldnt quite get it. Almost licorice/fruit. Its hard to explain, but it was delightful. There were some serious earthiness as well. Then once it got down to the final 2.5 inches, the flavor intensified as did the strength.
As expected the construction, appearance, and draw were second to none. It didnt burn too hot even for a second.
Sorry if my review isnt that great, but thats what I took from it!

Glad to do one, but it'll be the weekend before I will be able to get to it. I haven't had any of the other LFD DL's before, so I really don't have a frame of reference to compare to. Now that I think of it, I was gifted a LFD DL "Chiselito" so maybe I'll work on getting to that this week before my full review so I have a better reference.
Had one last night, last thing before bed. Cliffs notes are that the spice on the nose and tongue was pretty incredible. Draw was flawless. Absolutely flawless. Smooth, creamy tastes with full spice attacks that came and went as the cigar progressed. Really interesting, and really complex; just what I like. Very unusual but pleasant aroma to the smoke. One hell of a buzz off that slender little rascal; I think I'll take on the next one on with some food in my stomach.... :laugh:

Andrew, here's my review on the 2nd one I've smoked. I put a quarter in one of the pics for you.

This is a special blend that Litto Gomez produced for a shop in Atlanta named Puff n Stuff. 100 boxes of 20 were rolled. Tonight's example comes from box number 7 packaged in 06/07. This is the 2nd example I've smoked of this blend.
Filler: Dominican Double Ligero
Binder: ??
Wrapper: Cameroom (as labeled on the boxes) / Cameroon
I sat down with this on a Friday evening at about 7:45 PM. I had a light meal a few hours earlier. I paired this with ice water.
Pre-light Aroma/taste: Tobacco with a sweet musk. There is a mild spice on this cigar when drawn before lighting. The draw is on the lighter side of medium.
Appearance/Construction: This lancero is uniform but looks a little rough with ridges. There are small veins that run throughout the wrapper. There's a medium firmness to this example. It does not feel like it's been rolled very tight. The wrapper is a nice dark cameroon leaf with the tiniest water spots in comparison to LFD Cameroon Cabinets I'd smoked in the past.
Initial Impressions: There is a clean floral/nectar spice on the tongue when lighting this cigar with hints of nuts. Within the first inch, the nuts, nectar, and spice blend in well with each draw. I like this blend. It's full in body.
The cigar produces a fragile white fluffy ash that hold on remarkably well.
After the first inch, the spice really starts to kick in. I think I should have eaten a little more. This is one of the fuller strength cigars that I'd smoked. The spice really starts to kick with a clean floral fruity finish. There are still the occasional mix of nuts from the cameroon wrap that really make this blend shine in my opinion.
The 2nd half of the cigar, the spice gives way a bit to the fruity/floral/nutty characteristics settling the spice on the tongue. The cigar remains full bodied. I feel like Litto hit this blend perfectly. It affords me the nutty/floral/fruity characteristics of the cameroon cabinet combined with the punch of the double ligero.
I burned this for about an hour and half. You need to pay attention to this smoke, take it slow, but not too slow. I had to relight once.

Had mine today as promised....
I wanted to do a full pictoral review with perfect notes and such, but I was tired as hell from mowing the yard, trimming the yard, and washing the vehicles. So I simply sat down with a glass of water and enjoyed it....and I do mean ENJOYED!
Flawless construction, it rolled easily in my palm, and had zero blemishes to speak of. Prelight draw was flawless and the toast gave off an aroma not like that of the Oscuro. Having smoked many of the Oscuro, I really expected to be blown away by the spice, but surprisingly...and to my liking, I wasn't. I like spice, but not an overload....I was glad to taste what I did.
I agree with Ducati in that these seemed to smoke a bit smoother than the Oscuros. My socks weren't knocked off by the spice, but the strength was very reminicent of the Oscuro, this time I was sure to give it the respect it deserved and didn't pound it like I have other cigars. Very early on I was getting a spice mixed in with a welcomed slight sweetness that came with the cameroom wrapper. It was the perfect combination.
As I smoked it, it was obvious these are similar to the Oscuro in that they are complex. Pacing myself and drinking a glass of water, the strength never got the opportunity to overrun me, but it was there.
I had zero touch ups required and zero pull issues. This thing burned perfectly and drew like a dream. Billowing clouds of thick smoke pulled with every puff.
I have always ranked the Oscuro as one of my top 5 cigars. It's just been bumped. My favorite part about this cigar in comparison to it's brother is that it seemed less over the top on the spice. It was there for sure, but it was just to my liking.
Everything about this cigar was right, everything. I'm absolutely thrilled with it and highly recommend. It is one of the top 5 cigars that I can afford to smoke on a regular basis.

Well, I'll give this a shot. Smoked one in the garage today while filpping from NASCAR to golf and back again.
Very nice looking cigar. I love the look of a lancero and this one is no exception. Pre-light draw was right down the middle. Not loose, not tight.
I took a few "dry" draws and noted the power yet to come.
The construction and burn were flawless. Only one re-light was needed and that was on purpose.
I am not a fan of the double ligero blends in general. They are just a bit too much for me. I find them to be generally strength for the sake of strength. The power of this skinny little devil was there from about one half inch in and it didn't let up. I think the camaroo"m" wrapper did mellow the blend a bit but not enough for me. I actually took a break halfway through. I just don't find any subteties (sp) in this because the ligero overpowers everthing.
I think for those who are fans of a really full bodied cigar this stick will be a favorite. I rate it very highly on all levels, it's just too darned strong for my taste....wussy!
The rest of my box will rest a while in hopes of a little mellowing.

I've smoked 3 now. I like them just the way they are. I'm impressed by their construction. Perfect draw. Unusual in a cigar this size. I don't find them all that strong, one step below the Pepin Cuban Clasics that I smoke everyday, but,then again, I've been accused of having a "heavy palate".
