Tampa trip last week of OCT

hi guys.
I am going to be in the Orlando area at the end of OCT. i know it is only a half hour from tampa. Now from what i understand Tampa is the us mecca of Cigars. Is there any place/places that i should check out when i am there? What are the must see cigar stores and places


PS. if any1 is free and wants to have a smoke let me know

Yeah, you are looking at an hour if traffic is light. Don't go during rush hour.

As far as places to go, Tampa Sweethearts always has something special, and I like to hit Metropolitan Cigars. They are both in Ybor. I also go to King Corona, where you can get a cigar, a drink, a meal, a shave and a haircut, all while smoking a cigar. It is also in Ybor. Thompsons is by the airport if you are into that sort of thing.

If traffic is really light you could go from Orlando to Tampa in an hour, with normal traffic you would be looking at close to an hour and a half. If you head that way during rush hour there is no telling how long it would take you.
 
sweet i guess i am not going during rush hour.... and it is prob guna b an hour ish. i was thinking about tampa sweethearts. is it cool/ lots of fuente stuff, or is it like any other b&m thanks for the info and if there is anything else i should be aware of or check out leme know

Check the hours on Tampa Sweethearts, they close kinda early it seems. I was in Tampa for two weeks and made it to one cigar place since I didn't get out of class until after 8pm. Have fun.

O'Briens Irish Pub on Dale Mabry is a nice bar to have a smoke at. I did get to spend many a night there. :)
 
The Corona Cigar stores are worth checking out while you are in Orlando. They are two locations, south and north of the city.

Shoot me a pm when it gets closer, maybe we can get together for a smoke. I'm just north of Orlando.
 
Sounds like you are going to enjoy your trip to Tampa. I order a lot of single cigars (free shipping) from TampaHumidor.com. Not sure if they have a physical location or not. Their customer service is pretty good though.
 
As of a few weeks ago, Tampa Sweethearts is closed on Mondays. Tampahumidor was a pretty stripped down operation last time I was there, with maybe a ten by ten display room and most of the rest of the space being warehouse. it is basically a shipping operation, although Mike (owner) is a cigar hound like the rest of us.

jgohlke i will pm you a week b4 my trip. i think i am getting in on monday the 22. I have been to corona in the past, and had a great time. I think the one i visited was in a town call Dr Phillipsor somthing like that. What location do you frequent? I guess i will have to stop by Tampa Sweethears while i am in tampa. I hope they have some opus and hemi maduros.... i will prob come home broke. LOL

Then you're gonna be broke, cause last time I was there, they had WOAM, quite a bit of opus, and a really good deal on Anejos and Diamond Crown Maximus.

awhhhhh to bad that oliva is not there they make great stuff! How ever i am very excited to loose any spare income i have in the Tampa Sweethearts store.

JimK do they sell singles or boxes of the good stuff over there? Thanks for all the help if any1 else wants to meet up and herf while i am in town leme know
