Public Apology To CP

As some of you know, their was a heated debate over this last night..

Alan, knows me best in this forum, and I was in NO WAY trying to jeopardize my friendship with him. He knows I'm a good guy, but, like Anyone else, if you were trying to defend yourself..and you were just doing something to help other people, and didnt realize what you were doing....and was actually wrong...and people were criticizing and already bashing you for it.....you would be in the same heated attitude.

The story was ..

He sold me Numerous cigars, that I paid for, and i thanked him for helping me.

I just now started collecting Isom's and more "Premium" cigars for my taste. So I opted to put up for sale some of his cigars I had purchase from him in the List in that post, that to my preference didn't want anymore or lost interest. To my surprise I was given MANY bad responses for doing this, and I tried to defend myself, in that post.

Yes, I will say I was out of line in some parts, and I apoligize and say sorry to CP. I don't expect a sorry from anyone (if they were out of line), or CP mods for that matter, but, if you were wrong in my heart, i stay true to myself and just keep quiet...and ...I forgive you. Forgive and forget...simple as that. Water under the bridge.

So, this is my Apology to Mainly ALAN..and the Rest of the CP members I offended.

First, Rod, the only Mod here definitely owes you no apology. As for the rest, what the F is that supposed to mean? :rolleyes:

Sales were cancelled and an apology was given, good on you. Just lay low for a while, share some reviews on the cigars you did like and move on. :)

I have no clue what you are trying to say with this so-called "apology" above. A "heated debate?" Hardly. You got called out on doing a very crappy thing and, thereafter, refused to admit any wrong-doing and got your panties all twisted about it. Rather than man-up and just admit you're trying to make a profit at the expense of our fine brotherhood, you denied it and continued to act like a child - even pointing the finger back at our community.

"Apologize mainly to Alan?" - well, that's all well and good, but as a brotherhood and a community, we all look after each other. If Alan hadn't stepped up and called you out for what you are, other fine brothers in this community would have been duped by your scheme. Did you notice the reaction from others when you were called out? That speaks volumes about this community we have, and the respect we have for one another. No decent brother here is going to contribute to the taking-advantage-of another brother. Because of the stunt you pulled with Alan, and then trying to pawn off your sticks here, you compromise everyone here. Not just Alan.

Yet, even in this alleged apology, which reads like a goddamn headache, you continue to justify your totally crappy demeanor and attitude. If any decent brother attempted to pull something like you just did (which they wouldn't do in the first place), you better believe they wouldn't then get on their damn high-horse and act as if they are being "wrongfully accused." Again, this is a community and, in many senses, a home-away-from-home for many of us here. We protect each other and protect the integrity and well-being of this forum, particularly from those who seek to take advantage of its members. If you don't realize that, it's likely you never well. In that case, go back to the other forums you're supposedly a member of and continue to sell to your "references" there.
 
An apology is not full of qualifications, Chris.

I tried to explain that it's not just about me. The selling thing could have been taken care of quite easily. The reaction to the situation is what has hurt you the most. Much of that type of attitude continues in this post.

I really don't know you. I sold you some cigars, you paid me for them, you said thank you. That's all I know about you, really. I don't know that you're a good person, I don't know that you're a bad person. I just know that your attitude in this has really stunk and actually surprised me given our limited dealings.

Your attitude in the other thread and the qualifications in your "apology" reflect badly, if not accurately, on your true intentions. MC's post hits it on the head with his usual accuracy and clarity. Nothing more to see here folks, move along......

My MAIN Apology was to Alan, because I failed him. I failed him, selling stuff, that I didn't know would be affected this bad. I bought the stuff from him, so I think he deserve to get my main apology. I manned up and apolgize to everyone on CP.

This was my FIRST sale here, I didn't know I was turning a profit.

Secondly, I'll NEVER admit to making a "profit" because I NEVER did, and NEVER was my intention. if someone would have told me I was, then I would have simply revoked the thread and said I'm sorry, but you guys have to "Bash" me so bad, and get my "panties all mixed up" (like someone said. that I have to defend myself.

Simply, say it nicely or a PM and I'd be more then happy to revoke the thread. I know this is a tight community, and Like I said I said sorry already.

Like I said before, take it or leave it, I'm Sorry if it seemed like my intentions were to make a profit, and sorry for being an a-hole on the board.

May I chime in as a fellow newbie? Well I appreciate your apology. However I do believe that re-selling cigars at what ever profit margin sold to you by a member is out of line. In the future I would PM the seller (or gifter) to ask how they feel about the resale (if that's what you need to do). I feel cigars gotten in trdes are open game. In short my own "Newbie Rule" until I am well known as a stand up member is, " Ask a mod or an established member first before engaging in any sales transactions That I may initiate.".

The shovel is down..i apolgize to the board...I didn't know i was selling to make a profit. i thought it was reasonably priced to what i paid for, like i said before from the bottom of my heart, had no intentions of selling or making money as a profit. If you guys would have again told me, nicely, i would have been more then happy to remove the cigars adn instantly close the thread.

Take it or leave it my final apology.
