Back in last February I started to work on a new buy for the Chieftain's Cigar Malt. A number of people who had ordered before wanted more and for the first time I took preorders. The people who paid have made their selection and I can offer the remaining 8 bottles I have on hold.

There are 2 bottles of the Classic like the one reviewed here , and 6 bottles of what the bottler is calling the "Mild" version which I've never had. The Mild version has been finished in Madeira casks.

Classic is $152 delivered

Mild is $145 delivered

This may be a very very stupid question but what drives the price on this dram?

I would guess it is the same as anything else, supply and demand. I'm not sure why it went up so much this year though but single malt scotch in general has gone up and the dollar has gone down.
