Any of you west coast BOTL have a cigar shop to recommend in San Jose ? In Milpitas for work and looking for a little hand time on a couch with a stick.

thanks

There are several places you can go.

1. If you would like to sit in a comfy couch and watch pretty girls walk by all dressed up, Cohiba at Santana Row is a great place. From Milpitas, take 880 south to the Stevens Creek Exit. Turn right on Stevens Creek, and left on Santana Row (3rd or 4th light). Cohiba is about 1/4 mile down. It's easiest to use the valet parking.

2. I've not been in the lounge, but Mission Pipe Shop is a nice place, unfortunately they close early.

3. The guys at West Coast Cigars have always treated me well. There's a big screen, a huge walk-in humidor with a great selection at good (for California) prices.

4. There is also the Fumare Cigar Lounge in downtown San Jose. I've not been inside, but it seems like a nice place. It's a $10 charge to become a member for the day, IIRC.

How long are you in town? I might be able to slip away for a herf. :)

Not in San Jose. But if you make it up to Burlingame, check out Burlingame Tabacco. If it's on a Sunday keep your eyes peeled for a guy that looks like Dr. Bombay from Bewitched. He'll have a New Zealand accent, and a line on some very good cigars in his personal humidor. Let's just call him El Jefe. The guys that freaquent the shop are all skirt watchin' sons-of-guns. There is prime real estate out front on the side walk to get your quota too.

Are speaking of Burlingame Tobacconists? I hope so because there is a Burlingame Tobacco on the corner from the same shop. I visited the Burlingame Tobacconist last week and loved it! Mario will take good care of you and if it's not too busy you can even sit and smoke in the small private lounge they have in the back. Great collection of smokes as well!
