Reusing USPS Priority boxes

Actually, USPS will send you boxes for free. Maybe indirectly we can keep the cost if USPS Priority down :)!!!

The wife wants to know why I have a shelf of boxes, totes of packing peanuts and bubble wrap in the basement.... Easy. It's my shipping department :cool:

I completely agree with you Satchmo. I save boxes, peanuts, and even re-use bubble wrap! I mean, why not? Saves me from praying that I have a box to fit a certain size, saves me from buying shipping supplies (excluding shipping tape), its an all around great thing. Also, I agree - who knows, maybe we can help keep the shipping cost down.

Side note - Ever wonder what the % of packages shipped a day by USPS are cigars? lol..we have to hold at least 1%. :laugh:
 
Hell, I use Wal Mart bags as packing peanuts. Learned this from a wise ass-man.
 
I always try to reuse them but some of you guys put so much damn tape on the boxes it's near impossible. :sign:

I usually use too much tape too since I ran out of the self-stick labels. :laugh:

Just don't turn them inside out and try to send them regular first class. They get kind of bitchy about that even if you use a sharpie to black out the writing that they put on the inside. I'll never forget the lecture my carrier gave me when I received a box like that. (it wasn't from anyone here at CP.)
 
Well I planted a tree in backyard last summer to offset my carbon footprint, but I guess I can recycle these boxes as well.

Now I can't get the image of billbaker's kid running around the house in a box with leg holes cut out of the bottom. Probably kinda looks like Fred Flintstone pedaling the the Flintstone mobile.

Leave the air conditioner on all day especially during heat waves
Drive 80mph+ to use as much gas as possible
NEVER carpool, that's for pussies
 
I'm all for equilibrium. I'll reuse boxes, which gives me an excuse for being too lazy to throw them away. Drive a 4 cyl or motorcycle, saving gas, recycle when possible. then kill a sponge and bathe it in organic solvents to get all it's chemical goodness, in the name of finding a cure for some disease, read a ton of papers to study, write papers, causing more people to print it out, and smoke cigars while doing it.
 
I'd like to mention it's not the earth we're saving, its our ability to survive on earth after we f*ck it all up! :sign:
