And I’ve been travelin’ through space
Since the moment I first realized
What all you fast talkin’ cats would do if you could
You know, I hope you’re ready for my surprise
There ain’t no way around it
Ain’t nothing to say
That’s gonna satisfy my soul deep inside
All the prayers and survivors
Keep the whole place uptight
While the smoke gets thicker outside

I’m a cigar bomber
Bet you weren’t ready for that
I’m a cigar bomber
I’m sure you know where its at

Haha totally kidding. I think I might have heard of this "Steve Miller" band you speak of... :whistling: [/sarcasm]

What can I say... I'm a joker, I'm a smoker, I'm a midnight toker

Space Cowboy came out on the Brave New World Album in 1969......7 years before you called yourself Maurice. ;)

Heheheh, yes a transistor radio. Before your iPods, CD's, pre-programmed radio cookie cutter stations and phones that do everything except give you a "happy ending", there was FM on a transistor radio. I had one of those battery powered things on the table next to my bed as a really little kid. I fell asleep at night listening to the King of New York's free-format rock n' roll radio, WPLJ which was also one of the Grand Daddy's of that pioneering format. One of my parents would come in and turn the thing off after I fell asleep but I remember going through batteries pretty fast ;)

This was back when a radio DJ was actually a guy in a booth choosing records at will to play songs that suited his mood. Back when you might hear a 22+ minute version of the Allman Brothers "Whipping Post" followed by the entire Pink FLoyd album "Dark Side of the Moon" and there was no suit in an office somewhere freaking out about playing songs that lasted more than 3 and a half minutes. Back when you'd hear music from artists that you now hear on "Classic Rock" stations but the DJ would play songs that anyone born in the 1980s may well have never heard before because these days they only play "market tested and proven" tracks - meaning you hear maybe 5% - 10% of the tunes some band ever recorded and that's it - because it doesn't fit the current marketing model of FM radio.

So, yes: an FM transistor radio.

Just a great answer and I wanted to give you credit for it.
