I recently purchased a bundle of Rock Patel CI Fumas off of CigarBid.com. They are a small sticks with a maduro wrapper. As soon as I placed the stick in my mouth I was overcome with a very salty taste. I thought it would go away, but it never did. I could not smoke a quarter of this thing. The salt was not from the smoke it was the stick itself.

Has anyone ever experinced a flavor like this or know what may have caused this?

Thanks,

Johnny

PS: I know, I got what I paid for, but this was a first.

I tried to smoke one that a brother here sent me... same thing, awful salty bitter taste... I threw it out after about an inch. Also had the darkest, ugliest ash I've ever seen on a cigar. Stay far far away from these gents!

I can't believe Rocky patel woudl put his name on such a shoddy cigar. Why would he do that?? Just like those factory 2nds Im always seeing the catalogs, or the RP Fusions, or the Diesels on another thread...

Got the new CI catalog and it had RP Vibe. If he's doing so well, why does he put his name on crappy cigars?? It's making me lose respect... :(

Good question. I had tried an RP Conniticut (sp) and it was pretty good. I expected thid to be much better than it was. I will never try another RP unless it is his own and not for another company. At least now I have a good stick to let all the muuchers have at paties. I sure will not be burning another one. I have 24 more to go.
