Yesterday at the local B&M, I was poking around, since I didn't have my daughter with me, and happened to find a Opus X box on center island shelf tucked behind some *choke* ACIDS. I gather from other threads and pinned articles that Opus X is one of the "better" cigars out there. I didn't find this out till today, since I figured they were way out of my price range, but on reflection 10.50 doesn't seem to bad given all that is written about them. I guess my question is should I go back and buy some even though it means that I am in the dog house with the wife? And is the Perfecxion No.5 as good as others described.

So anyway, if your the Akron area, they are at the Pipe Rack Bait and Tackle. Big walk in Humi, 9 o'clock on center island on the second shelf. I sort of stuck them behind some more of the *Choke* ACIDS to "buy myself sometime." I am not sure how long they have been there, but seem a little pricey, given the general income level of the area and the fact that you can buy live bait there as well.

Thats only about $2 over MSRP, a good find given the huge markups on the Opus line. Why not buy a single or two and see if you like them? Additionally, if you are correct that they aren't selling well in said B&M, they might just already be nicely aged for you.

Thats what I gathered from the pinned article. I browsed through it before, but never paid much attention. I think I might be able to sell my wife on the rest of the box due to ornate packaging, she might just get a "trinket box" for her birthday.

Like I said, I was kind of suprised to find Opus X's there. I thought it was just and old box, but I guess I was wrong.

Hey, Dr. Marneus found a stash of Anejos and Hemi maduros in a B&M in the middle of nowhere, NC... you never know what you'll stumble upon!

Not bad at all. Sound advice from bpj. Pick up one or two and try them out. I would personally pick them up at that price. Beats $15 at one of my locals.

Thanks guys, I will definately have to pick a few up. I might make a play for the whole box if its not moving that well.

Yeah, it kind of a wierd area around here, lots of multt-tasking. They sell cigars, pipes, tabacco, rods, reels, lures. Its not even on a lake.

I couldn't think of a whole lot of things that I would rather do than fish while smoking an Opus. I think that they are on to something..

I like Dr. Marn, found a 5er of WOAMs for just a tad bit over MSRP at my local in the middle of bumble fuc*, IL....IN A COLLEGE TOWN no less!

Opus X hit my area today.
Both stores had the same line up. I listed both of their prices. Bloth closed on Sundays!
I'm not real hip on the names because I only really enjoy the thinner ring gauges.

#5 -----11.00 (limit 5) & 11.95 (no limit)

Corona Gorda -----13.00 (limit 5) & 13.95 (no limit known of )

Something like a churchill -----18.00 (limit 5) 18.95 (no limit known of)

They called me, and I had to pass. But, all I would normally buy for myself is the #5

Okay, went to B&M today correction is in order the price is 10.55$. They have roughly 30-34 after I got my three. (42 is box- 8ish). So they are im my humi now just waiting to get smoked. It's kind of wierd that a place that charges like 6.50 for a Partagas Black robusto has Opus X for 2.50 over msrp.

So I went back to the same shop the other day and they had even more Opus X's than before. It's strange, I bought three the first time and went back to buy the box and there they were.

Opus hit my B&M last week. DC's @ 20.99, Petit Lanceros @ 15.99, Fuente Fuente's @ 15.99, and Super Belicosos @ 17.99. Stupid expensive....but thats California for ya. I bought a few PLs and a few FFOX just for giggles. Cant get em anywhere else!
