For once, knowledge is making me poor!
This is all hypothetical so belay the discussions of legality please.
If I were to make a still at my cabin, and on a nice fall weekend, produce a bit of vodka which I would then filter and drink I would want to know a few key things......anybody have any experience?
Question #1 Is there anything more complicated than the four components, heat source, boiling pot, condensing/cooling coil, and the collection vessel?
Question #2 Does the boiling pot have to be copper or will stainless steel work?
Question #3 Will a fan blowing across the condensing/cooling coil help to produce more vodka?
Question #5 Any idea how long a pot of fermented potatoes will need to be heated to produce a quart of vodka?
Question #6 How long do i let the potatoes ferment before firing up the still?
Any advice would be hypothetically appreciated
