Well written, as always but the shock came at the General booth. Scroll down to the Macanudo 1968.

Actually, Frank blinded me last night with one of these (no band) and challenged me to identify. Couldn't do it. Started out a little rough but smoothed out in 3 or 4 draws. The flavors started to build and by the first third I'm screaming at him to to tell me what this is. This mystery cigar has quite a bit of complexity and the flavors are building very nicely. What the hell is it? About the halfway point he pulls out the band. It was like someone turned on the lights and I was kissing my sister. No Way! Way! he insists.
This Cigar refused to quit getting better. Then the cursing started. So today I have to figure out how to buy these at my local B&M w/o getting ragged by all my friends. Better yet, I'll tell them they suck so I can keep them all for me. MOOOOOOHHAAAA! ALL MINE!!!!

As I wrote, the Macanudo 1968 is one of the best cigars at the show. I know I know...most won't believe it but Bear's experience was repeated by a couple of other guys...the only one who did not like it is suffering from bad ragweed allergies and admitted he was having trouble tasting it.

Hmm i must be in the minority. I came across some exceptional cigars Many better then the 1968. And I actually smoked the 68 Monday night after dinner and not having had a cigar for 2 hrs prior.
 
Friends don't let friends smoke Macanudo.

It's like buying a foo-foo frozen drink at a bar when everyone else has a scotch. While you might think its cool and refreshing the social penalty will last forever. With that being said if you wanted to inlude one in a blind fiver I would give it a try. :D

The price of Liga Privada #9’s has actually gone down! The Liga line now has additional sizes – a Robusto at $8.95 (the Toro has dropped a buck to $9.95), the new Belicoso at $10.95 and the Double Corona at $11.95.

Now this I gotta check out. I've been saying for months that I can't wait until they begin introducing this blend in different sizes. Nice move! Now all they need is a corona or a p.c. and all will be right with the world!
 
Ordered mine, what the heck for that price it's hard to go wrong.

Right on! If they could come up with a Lonsdale size, a la the VSG Illusion, I'd be all over that puppy. The Robusto would be very nice indeed for a slightly shorter smoke than the original size.

Times are good for being a cigar smoker. :thumbs:

I agree, Frank has a great palette for cigars. Although I went to the General booth they wouldn't give me one unless I placed an order... :angry:
