Does anyone here run Safari on a Windows machine? Any problems? Is it a good browser?

Every time my iTunes updates it wants me to install Safari. I currently run Firefox, but I'm always willing to try something new if it can offer an improvement or unique experience.

I'm also considering it because we're considering the switch to Mac this fall and I'm wondering if Safari would give us a peak into what to expect.

Anyone?

:D

I like it

I run it on XP, with no problem except that Yahoo mail does not support it 100% so some times it glitches up. It takes a little bit to get used to it, but I like having my bookmarks as clickable tabs on the main toolbar.

Allan,

Same here, I downloaded it when my iTunes did an update. Nothing unique in my opinion...at least nothing that can't be added to FireFox with an AddOn. It was billed as a faster browser but it seems about the same as FF.

As far as you switching over to Mac, that in itself is reason enough to download it and give it a spin.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Well there's your problem you use iTunes i like rhapsody a lot more, imo nicer software package if your going to pay money for music I prefer something nice over itunes which the last time I used it looked like a ghetto p2p app that you have to pay for.

You can have the bookmarks as tabs on Internet Explorer as well

You can do that with Firefox too.

Thanks for the opinions. :)
