I've been seeing the ads on the tv for AT&T about their $40 rate for dsl and phone service, so i called up Comcast to tell ask them how they could justify their outrageous rates and if they didn't give me a break on the rates i'd change carriers. Well they knocked off $59 off my monthly bill and added three movie channels, if you're unhappy about your service or bill, call them up. I'm very happy with my HD reception, and now i have a lower rate. God bless America! :thumbs:

I did the same thing a few months ago. I added voice service, got ALL the movie channels added (I had HBO already) and they knocked 50 bucks a month off.

I said to them..."so I'm getting more, but paying less. Do I have this straight?" she responded "Yes Mr. Roberti, that's correct." I couldn't beleive it. I felt like I was getting screwed before this, right?

I guess the squeeky wheel get's the grease.

AT&T was blanketing my area yesterday. They were talking about U-varse. I'll have to look into it, as it's now fibre.

My Dad got a bill for $150 from comcast last month! All we have with them is our cable internet + our TV (no HD and we had HBO...which has been canceled).

I'm going to tell him to threaten. :laugh:

If you notice all these companies are raising prices and consumers are going along like puppies. I think it's all coming to a head, how much can the consumer take?

Nice one...I have been meaning to call Time Warner. I have internet, cable + HBO, Starz, and HD service for around $140 a month. Plus the box they gave me originally doesn't have HDMI and constantly locks up or lags horribly.

It probably helps that comcast is about to get sanctioned by the FCC for slowing peer to peer traffic .
