I have a quick question about power point. I am doing a presentation on Thursday for a class and I want to make it really fun so I decided to create a game of jeopardy. My question is, does anyone know if it possible to link a question to a certain power point slide. For an example, If someone calls for History for 500, I want to be able to click history for 500 and it will go right to the slide that has the question. Then from the question, It will have a link to send it to the answer slide for that particular question. I do not know if this is possible but if it is, could you let me know, or even suggest a better Idea. This will save me a lot of time, from having to remeber the slide number for the question and answer, as well as typing it in manually.

Thanks

David

hey Dave - Yeah, its possible. But it also depends onyour setup. You could make a slide with all the question blocks...that looks like the Jeopardy grid on TV. Have each block linked to a question, you can insert a link to the page in the presentation. Same as you were saying you would put in a link from the question to the answer - same idea...just a lot of them on the first slide.

Also don't forget to put a link on each of the answer slides to get back to the main grid slide. Not sure if I answered your question...hope I helped :p

This is directly from PowerPoint Help. "Create hyperlinks in a presentation:

Create a hyperlink to a custom show or a location in the current presentation

  • Select the text or object you want to represent the hyperlink.

    Click Insert Hyperlink.

    Click Place in This Document.

In the list, select the slide or custom show you want to go to.

To assign a tip to be displayed when you rest the mouse pointer on the hyperlink, click Screen Tip and then type the text you want. If you do not specify a tip, the path or URL of the file is used.

    Click OK.

To preview how a hyperlink will appear in the slide show, click Slide Show at the lower left of the PowerPoint window.

    Tips:

-- You can also add ready-made action buttons with hyperlinks to the next, previous, first, and last slides.

-- If you set up a hyperlink to a single slide, also add a hyperlink on that slide to return you to the original one.

Hope this helps!

Figured it out, Freaking A man. I better get an A on this project. Thanks again. I just was not sure, cause I did not see this last night. I think it might of been because the power point program I have at work is the newest edition, and the one I have at home was older. But thanks again.
