Playing a 50 cent tourney on PokerStars.

What was your stack? Did you call the all-in or move all-in with AK? In what position? Shove to a raise, or where you first to act? Hopefully you weren't the fourth to call the all-in with the AK??

Sorry, poker minds want to know ;).

Got trapped in the hand but semi short stacked so I was glad to get it in. In these tourneys with this structure, once you get short stacked compared to the average stack size, its time to get it in and gamble.

In all fairness I should disclose that I suck at tourneys.

Years ago I used to play $1 tourneys online with 2400 players and won it once. Took close to 5 hours and I won a little over $500.

I play the cheap tourneys and freerolls from time to time.

I can place in the money about 1 in 20 tourneys and have won 3. Very different game than the higher stakes tables.

Pokerstars, Fulltilt, Carbon poker, they all have play money areas that do not cost you anything. They all also have freeroll tourneys that cost nothing to enter.

Could someone recommend a good site to learn to play poke (for free)?

www.twoplustwo.com in the strategy forums. Sometimes it isn't nice like here but it is loaded with good info. If you go into the more social areas like Bad Beat 4 Life Other Other Topics, it often gets worse than the men's lockeroom.

BBV 4 life draws some of the BS out of BBV at least.

I just see too many badly played hands that win.

That is a chronic problem with online poker. Nothing stings like calling someone's all in while you are holding AA then losing when their 3,4 offsuit turns into a full house on the flop.
