Raising your own tobacco.

How's everyone's plants doing? Mine are about 2' tall now and the leaves are getting pretty damn big.

What is the best way to properly dry/cure these, after picking them? With it being 100 degrees here, I don't know where I'd put these.

Anyone have any advice on how to dry cure these, in the 100 degree weather?

Finally started mine a couple weeks ago, time to move them into their own pots tomorrow.

Just currious, how do you plan on taking care of your plants over the winter? I had thought about trying to grow inside this winter, but decided to just wait until the spring. Do you have an indoor greenhouse or grow lamps?

I have a couple windows that receive tons of light in winter and my wife's plants do okay, otherwise I'll be picking up some kind of plant light.

Are there any seeds available for this year?

If so, cool, if not, still cool...

I really want to give this a try this year in my backyard. I've been cooking up some great compost since this time last year and want to see what it's worth...

I saved some seeds from one of my plants, from last year. Hopefully they will dry out well enough for me to use them this year.

Thanx a ton MrMaduro
I also wanna grow some tobacco in the future and this will help out tons in the future. Just gotta do a litle more research on varieties and types and even a lil scientific ventures on shapes sizes and tastes and even the type of soil mixtures

So whats the latest on everyones crops??? lets see some photos.

Greg did you ever roll that stogie??? I want one!

Get some seeds and start them about 30 days before last frost, if you need seed resources, PM me and I can give you some. You can store the seeds for quite awhile, years even.

Once grown and cured, if kept in the proper conditions, just like cigars, the tobacco will have a long shelf life.

Good question, and completely on topic. I've thought and thought about it and can't for the life of me figure out what the difference is between smoking something and chewing something. Speaking of traveling, would you have any idea how I would go about finding a good website to coordinate my travels to such places as India and/or Las Vegas? A little help here.
