Famous 70th Anniversary by Padron

Am I getting this right?

Holt's Padron Legacy (1926 band) 6" x 48 @ $17
Padron 1926 #35 4" x 48 @ $10
=> implies about a $2 premium for a unique box/band.

Famous Padron 70th (1964 band) 5" x 50 @ $14
Padron 1964 Exclusivio 5.5" x 50 @ $10.2
=> implies about a $4.7 premium for a unique box/band.

I guess Padron is imitating Habanos' Regional Edition pricing strategy a.k.a., there's a sucker born every minute :( .

I would suspect that Holts and Famous are responsible for the retail pricing of these, not Padron.

As long as they are not coming out with a new blend every two seconds I guess I am ok with it. Just finding new vitolas to deliver the 1926 or 1964 blend is not the same as churning out a ton of new and different blends. I view this as a similar situation to when they made that short torpedo "bullet" for one of those other big retailers. I for one like the size of the Padron Legacy for Holt's and also would love an Anniversario in the round but the price on them will probably keep me away.
