Ummmmm . . . I'm aware Cohibas are THE most frequently counterfeited Habanos out there, and that some of the counterfeits are mighty convincing, but that said . . . in my admittedly limited experience, I'm just not seeing a "tell" here.

How did you come to the decision they were fakes? Any of the more experienced hands here want to 'splain what I'm not seeing? ???

As I stated in the other thread....

The band is a dead give-a-way. The first tall-tale sign that stood out... you can tell in the last picture that there is no outward impression in the band, and that it's seemingly printed on paper.

As I stated in the other thread....

also the comma is dead nuts in the center, it should come right after Habana on a real band..

Also the spacing on the bottom row of white squares looks off. And from the last pic, it also looks like there's a single white line at the very top edge of the band that shouldn't be there.

First thing I noticed. As well as the square rows.

It's really unfortunate that someone puts so much effort into making what looks like a fine cigar. They should put their efforts into making a name for them selves. :thumbs:

Yup, I know...its a sad world we live in sometimes. Theres always someone out there doing the wrong thing. Thanks for your imput my friend.

I think the real down side to a fake that fools someone is that the person thinks their experiencing a real Cuban Cohiba when in fact their being fooled. They may come away with a poor opinion of the cigar never knowing they were duped. This does no one any good.

Is it one of the barber poles? My father in law was gifted one of those. Fake as anything but he said it was a pretty good smoke.
