I just ordered a 4pack sampler of Pinar del rio robustos to try out and got a fantastic deal on them...but that's not why I'm impressed with FSS. From my limited experience, FSS is the only company that I've dealt with, that includes the date that the company received the cigars into their warehouse. Normally, since I just received these cigars, I would mark on them "7/09", but lucky me - FSS had already marked "2/2/09" on them...so I know that these cigars are actually at least 5 months old. I REALLY REALLY like that they do this. Does anyone know if they do it on all of their cigars (5pks, boxes)?

I like dealing with Famous. They don't require you to be 21 to place an order and, because of my proximity to there warehouse, if I order before noon, I can usually get my order in a few days.

They don't require proof of age but I'm sure they do conform to the law. ;)

Right, Humberto?

I haven't ordered from them in a while but if they are now dating their cigars that's pretty cool!

The boxes I've purchased from them have a sticker on the bottom with the date they received them.

I like them a lot. I was more of a fan of their old website though, the new one is just too heavy on the plug-ins and takes forever to load on some computers. I usually get my shipment next day. Never noticed the date stamp, but that is pretty sweet.

Never have used them before. I may have to force myself to move out from under the familiar cloud of CI. They might not include dates when the cigars are received in mazos.

You are correct, sir.

I really enjoy their website, but my one experience ordering from them was not the best. I ordered a couple boxes online and after a day I received an email stating that they could not ship cigars to my zip code. They told me to call, which I did, and they explained that a search on my APO zip code says "no tobacco authorized" or something like that. I told them I've never had any problems with any other vendors, to which they replied sorry, we can't ship to you.

Unfortunately for me they had a really good deal on Padilla Miami 8&11s and I REALLY wanted those smokes, so I came up with an alternate plan. I had the cigars shipped to my folks in Wyoming who then turned the cigars around and shipped them to me. It was a good idea in theory, but all in all they went almost 3 weeks through the mail when all was said and done. It took at two months in the humidor before the Padillas smoked right.

I know the folks at Famous technically right- and they were very friendly- but other vendors haven't given me that runaround, so I'll just go to the other guys in the future.
