THE CIGAR LIBRARY

Angel Smoke, you are new here. Being new here, or to any forum with a set of rules and doesn't tolerate ass-hatery, is like being a visitor to someone elses house. You're on your best behavior and abide by the house rules. Here the rules are very simple and spelled out for you in black and white. If you are going to come in here and throw good advice back in the face of these gentlemen, to include the owner of the site, then you are royally showing your ass. I hope you quickly learn that you are a guest here until you have established a relationship with the members of the forum. If I was to guess, then I would say that if you don't learn to type intellectually and not make comments like you own the place, then your time here will be short lived.

That is all.

Bahh! I'd rather he just bare his ass and keep throwing good advice back at everybody. "That mean ol' Rod, the owner of the site, he's just a mean ol' troll coming in here to crap on my party!" Maybe I should just put it in a way you'll understand Miguel:

rod is the owner of this site and u r really not doing that great of a job in your first 2 ours here so yeah um like lol and so stay out of it and lol use proper grammar and punctuation pls okithx and stop using runon sentences and the shift key is ur new friend lol and pls to use teh return key for paragraphs and stuff like that super cool lollerskates roflwaffles for the win okithx~! jk rofl lmao etc f***in' etc.

Wish I would have read this thread before I posted my warning about the same thing in his intro. Miguel, you're on an uphill climb now. Good luck!

You're suspiciously good at that, Soulpupster!

. . . and yet, all the kind, gentle corrections have YET to get this tool to use his shift key, make paragraphs, or find the other two letters that precede "u."

But that riposte made the whole thread worthwhile. ZOMG okthxbye lolwut!

Hey man, it's the internet. You have to have some thick skin and not get butt-hurt about every little thing.

You're not quite getting it yet, son. At least half a dozen people, including the site owner, our host here, have suggested you need to take a few more pains with your typing, spelling, grammar, line breaks, usw before hitting "Add Reply."

It's pretty much the price of admission here, and a show of respect for the community. Failing repeatedly to take the hint would be the opposite.

The suggestion given earlier to read more and post less would help you understand how things work around here. It isn't a trend, it is the way things are.

Like I said before, good luck!

P.S. You might want to quit digging, your hole is getting deeper.

Before registering at CP, I have seen a few threads go this route and it normally doesn't end well for the new guy, so from one new guy to another, I want to recommend you read the rules on this forum, before this thread gets diverted down that road. I'm not going to link it for you, because it's fairly easy to find and you have scrolled past it a few times already, but if you'd just follow a simple protocol, a lot of mockery can be avoided and you can get involved in what is probably the most informational, organized, and mature cigar community around. Does that sound like something you would like? I'm pretty sure you didn't register to simply find a cigar library, who wants to read about something second hand when you can taste it yourself?

Please, heed the warning, post yourself an introduction and pretend like you are actually meeting everyone on here in person when you post in threads, and maybe one day you will.

*Disclaimer--I'm very new to CP so I'm not trying to step on any FOG's toes here. Or anyone else for that matter. Please tell me if I'm out of line and I will shut up.*

Here We Go...Again!!!

Each one of you need to STFU and stay out of threads that don't concern you. You really haven't been here long enough to "impart" your knowledge upon someone else when it's already been taken care of. Jeez, the need for noobs to throw in their $.02 when it's not needed is rediculous!

Come on bro,

With the exception of Kiltlad, at least the post offered some help and guidance, even if it is a bit of the blind leading the blind.
I am sure they are just repeating sage wisdom that was given to them when the started down the wrong road.

Jonesy, you have earned my respect many times over, but IMHO, what you said was correct, it just could have been a bit more tempered.
I understand your frustration, I really do...at least they didn't throw out a bunch of popcorn post.

Just my take....

Tim

OK, Tim. Let's just let each one of these threads run out 20 pages so each guy with less than 3 months in can throw their advice out there to make themselves look like "Mr. CP". I appreciate the zeal and intention behind the posts, but when the same thing is being said over and over again, what good is it doing? The only point being made then are the newbs pointing out "hey, I'm not an asshat because I just pointed this newer newb in the right direction even though it's already been done 10 times in this thread"

Gimme a friggin break. There are other ways to endear yourself to the community when you're new then to try to raise yourself up while giving sage advice to someone newer than you countless times over.

I meant that in a good humorous way, no harm intended :D
