I've yet to see this in the stores around AZ and southern NV. There are some available on eBay.

Macallan

If anyone has tried one of these please share your thoughts.
TIA

Yowzer... The 1824 Limited Release is $2000 for 700ml. I noticed in the fine print that this one won't be available until October, darn. And how about the Estate Reserve bottled at 800 proof! I think you might need a little more than a splash of water with this one. ;)

The first two look very interesting. I might lean more toward the one that spent some time in sherry barrels. I would love to see a review on at least these two. :whistling:

They are duty free releases and not necessarily a good buy. The Duncan Taylor 60th anniversary bottle is going to be one to watch. (Most likely a Macallan)

Horrible buy. They had all three at the distillery and a few at Heathrow duty free in May. It's an avenue for them to get rid of "off year" scotch since it's a blend of several years at three different grades and no disclosures of what exactly is in it. I have to admit I'm not so happy with there recent marketing but $ is $ and it seems to be working for them. Most popular Mac in London is an 8 year which they don't even export to the states. Still by far my favorite Scotch and all I collect but I'm passing on this edition.
