Yup!

Pulled the trigger and got the new Crackberry Tour w/camera.

Now I can pirate...ehh-um....watch CP at all times!!!

Arrrgh!

<note....this was not typed using a crackberry!>

Nice! My girlfriend just bought the Tour, she loves it. Even being an iPhone weenie and not being a fan of Blackberries, I can't deny that I am envious of the camera on it. It really does come off as a quality phone. How's the texting on it? The keys look a bit small is the only drawback I can see.

Dunno, havn't texted yet.

They seem about the same as on my Treo.

One review put the speech-to-text component up there...so I may have to explore that(as it should be)!

True, true. It's about time Sprint finally picked up a new BB. BTW, I pay about $115 a month for my unlimited service which includes insurance on the phone. I can leave Sprint anytime now that my contract is up. I have been pleased with Sprint as I know some hate Sprint. So, the service isn't the issue here. I'm looking for a better value. Is there any other cell providers out there that I can get a cheaper plan that includes unlimited everything on my plan?

Unlimited on what? Everything?

VW is like $149?

I would have picked up an Iphone...but still don't like the provider.

yes, unlimited everything...internet, phone calls, texting, etc...i have the BB pearl. i can't send picture mail. the only way i can send pics is via email. does your new BB send pic mail?

sprint even offers free GPS navigation. that is the only reason i haven't left Sprint yet.

Umm...yes.(as does the 'Curve').

I do like the camera on this 3.2mp...and you can use google maps or the built in apps(talks back).

edit...yea...I'm only limted on the number of minutes 900 for my plan...but I get 5 'friends/family' that cost nothing when added to a list.

Oh yea...250 text/pic messages for $5(included in below total)

All this and crackberry thumb for about $94.00.

Nice buy! I'm sure you'll enjoy the Tour. I currently have the Curve (with wifi) and love it. The only benefit to having wifi is that if you're a TMobile customer...when you're at home or wherever you can connect to wifi, all calls are free as they route through the internet opposed to the cell site.

Ive got the 8900 like Rod. man I love it!!!!!
Dont make me "PING" you guys

Also if you have a gmail email there is a great app called goggle mobile and you can do Latitude and know GPS wise where your friends are at all time (pretty cool)

Wow I think that the most typing Ive done on here in a long time

i remember when the wife got one. she said she would never use it. i think get withdrawal shakes if she doesn't check email every 10 minutes.

I used to have a blackberry, but I moved to the T-Mobile G1. I'll probably be getting a mytouch soon. I've been very happy with the phone for personal use. Blackberry works better if you have a BES (the enterprise server that does email, contacts, and calendar) at work though...

I have the Tour through Verizon wireless. I picked mine up the day it was released and have had zero problems with it so far. Some are reporting though that they have had issues with theirs. The trackball seems to be a big problem with the ones I have read about. Also check the battery cover on the back as some have had really loose ones. If you have a problem you get a no questions asked replacement within the first 30 days. I have read that some have returned four or more before getting a good one. OS 5.0 will be out soon and as a Mac user the Desktop Manager for Mac is coming this month. Crackberry.com has a ton of info and there are a ton of cool apps to get into. I am really enjoying mine so far. a few little software glitches that I can live with that will hopefully be addressed with the new OS release.

I'm another crackberry junkie. Have a pearl but looking to upgrade sometime soon. I'm waiting to see the storm 2 because I've heard great things from the owner of the Verizon store by me. That tour does look really nice, I've been checking it out for a while. Glad you like it.

I've got the Storm, and Charlie's jealous of my camera! He said something about...using it for his..."special times" with his buddies. ???

I have a Crackberry 8330 and surprisingly I liked it. Before I had a phone with the bare minimums and loved it because it kept my time on it to a minimum. Now that I have the Crackberry I am on the internet, sending pictures, typing fast replies on text and it's great. I think I'm hooked! :sign:
