Removing people from conversations

Is there a way to remove people from the group conversations (PMs)?

I sent one out to a few friends asking for some help and see no need for the ones who already answered that they can't help to be bothered with new messages every time the conversation is updated.

Does "block" do it or does that block someone from your PMs altogether?

Pretty sure that if they delete the conversation, they won't see new replies.

Exactly.

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a way to remove certain members from a conversation; they have to remove themselves. I'm sure the PM system will be more developed when the next release comes out.
