See, this is what happens when you follow recipes you find on CP. I made some of Evan's habanero hot sauce just now. 2 full pounds of peppers. House smelled GREAT! I was busy sipping a batch of AVB's Bloody Mary recipe (damned good, by the way) when I decided (in my vodak-addled brain) that I just HAD to taste a the sauce before storing it away for a month.

So...when I came to, my wife and son were looking at me and shaking their heads. Apparently, tipping the tupperware container to your lips and drinking a mouthful of vinegar-boiled, pureed habaneros after spending the morning drinking Bloody Marys is NOT the way to do it. Holy shite. So, so hot! So, so good!

I think I may have permanently injured myself. I can no longer see out of my left eye. So, in case I don't make it, I just wanted to make sure everyone here knows how awesome this site is. For you really newbie n00bs (I'm a newbie tool, too, just not THAT new) take my advice: Test out the recipes found here on your friends or stray animals before tasting them yourselves. Trust me.

Holy christ in a chicken bucket.

*Shakes tiny fist in semi-blind rage*

I love this place.

Way to go Varn and Ray!

The defense of our nation rests in the hands of men like this. :p

Good point, but you have to admit, he took some damage to his liver, his mouth and his eye but he is still able to function. (Or at least function as well as you can expect Trey to function).

The real question I have is whether you can light a cigar off of the heat from Evan's hot sauce?

Hell yes. In the immortal words of Neo: "whoa".

I'm glad you're still alive to tell us the tale Trey! You're a stupid bastard, ya know that??

Just remember that hot sauce is the gift that keeps on giving! Wait until later!

Fantastic. I can imagine you now, fanning your abnormally small hands over your mouth trying to put out the fire. Good work, Trey.
