This was a couple weeks ago, but I forgot about the pictures until I was going through my camera today to upload some review photos. The fellows in the pictures are Souldog (Jon), Stogie13 (Johnny), Champion (Justin), my brother Nick and I. It was a hell of a day. We went to Riflegear to pick up some parts for our AR's, then headed over to Hi-Times Wine Cellars so I could show off the awesome beer and cigar selection to these guys. Needless to say, we walked out with a ton of beer and sticks, headed home, cleared the weapons of ammo (prior to cracking any cold ones, of course), and began the fun. Also present was my brother's SKS and Remington 800.

The day was filled with awesome, to say the least.

Charles, I'm glad you guys had a good time and all, but the lot of you can collectively GFYS for that sick weather. Don't you know that some of us live in the real world and wake up to single digit mornings with 50+ inches of snow and ice everywhere and here you pricks are in your shortsleeve shirts smoking cigars and drinking your Royal Crown cola. Ok, sorry about that. Just a little case of cabin fever and being sick of winter. Glad you guys had fun, really. I am. Now to get this eye twitch looked at.

I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon then with friends, cigars and a few drinks. Looks like you guys had a great time. Good stuff!

Holy cow Jon, when did you go cue ball?!? :0

Mmmmm, Taddy Porters. Sammy Smith rocks. Looks like good times. I second what Moe said about the weather.

Um...that's not him. Look at pic #1, he's on the right side.

Yeah, you can't miss me, no one can miss a f**ked up face like that... :0

Oops, my bad... I'll have to make sure to herf with you guys when I'm back in SoCal over Labor Day so I don't make that mistake again.

lol is that a fuggin bayonet on the table? Also what is guy in pic 5 doing, installing a new grip on the lower?

Haha, yeah it is a bayonet. It's vintage WWII, and has some interesting markings on it. As for picture 5, it was a new Magpul grip kit for that rifle!

Did he get the MIAD complete kit?

Yeah. Great grip kit, I wish I had bought the MIAD trigger guard when I went the same route a while back. I still am a bit confused why the plug it comes with is the 3 round one, instead of say the bolt and firing pin one. :(

No worries Dave, I'll let you rub it for good luck.

Fantastic grip, srsly. The advantage of the complete kit is definitely in the implemented trigger guard which saves so much hassle on configuration because it only requires the single roll pin.

If you get full MIAD the trigger guard is integrated into one of the front straps (F I seem to recall), it also comes with a small hex screw thusly requiring zero roll pins.

So they can sell you the bolt and firing pin insert for $12.95. You think Magpul would realize I'd take that money and buy more PMags

Yes exactly. One of two or three frontstraps has it integrated. There are still times when I think an ergo is more comfortable but the ability to customize the MIAD is what makes it awesome

Agreed, the ergo grip is nice, but the customization of the MIAD is hard to beat. My girlfriend has midget hands like Greg so for her to shoot it she has to swap out backstraps.
