Just defended my qualifying exam! All I have left is defending my dissertation and I can finally be done with school.
For the first time, I feel like the end is on the horizon after being in school for 22 years.
I was very impressed with Andor. Acting aside, I think it was the first of the Star Wars series with a well-written plot.
(Despite predictability, I do love Star Wars)

- 3oz bourbon
- 2oz of lapsang souchong simple syrup (made the same as normal simple syrup but instead boiling water, use lapsang souchong tea which gives the syrup a smoky flavor).
- 4 dashes of whatever bitters you like
- orange peel
- cocktail cherry
- big ol ice cube
I really enjoy good bourbon, but I also have a while until I make big boy bucks. What is the best bourbon you can think of for under 30 (but preferably under 25).
So far, I’ve had someone recommend Early Times Bottled in Bond and it was stellar. Any others come to mind?

No I haven’t been part of the armed forces. Regarding trauma history, I’d prefer to not disclose that. But I have worked in a VA and heard awful stories from family members. So I am (somewhat) familiar with some aspects of the horrors of combat.
