I doubled a wrapper like this on a cheapo cigar as an experiment. i should really get around to doing the second part of it (smoking it).

I've always (read: for 3 months, when I began smoking) wondered why NC manufacturers weren't sold overseas. However, wouldn't the lifting of the embargo not affect the overseas market? The potential pressures faced by the NC companies overseas would still exist, no? I could be wrong, I know...

I think JR sells these for cigar terriers. :sign: In all seriousness, Pinar del Rio is not "thousands of square kilometers." It's only about 800 sq. km. I definitely agree that location matters where tobacco is grown. Surely the amount of chemical processes that go into developing the taste...

Wow, thanks Wilkey. I would never have thought of it, although it makes perfect sense. It will be so nice not having to pass up a better smoke in fear of it splitting.

Ahh, so the rarity is 858 exclusive? I wonder why. And "K", it wasn't a problem with the cap, the wrapper didn't so much unwrap as tear down the center. I think it was from the wrapper being unable to hold the filler as it dried out from the cold weather.

Well, a couple of weeks ago I was at a B&M in NYC and picked up a Chateau Fuente along with a few other singles. I tried smoking it last week but what I assume to be the dryness of the air caused the wrapper to rip like tissue paper and large pieces of it just fell off. I made do and smoked it...

Hah, I got mine kicked by a natural wrapper. It was an Avo #2 and was my first cigar. I had no idea what was happening, and ended up lying on my bed for a few hours feeling like my appendix had burst. And for some crazy reason I kept smoking. Probably because I had bought 4 other cigars and...

That's just offensive and unnecessarily inflammatory. It cheapens his entire argument, which, as an opinion piece, was acceptable. By this logic even non-smokers who don't get their panties in a bunch are genocidal. Even before I began smoking, I couldn't stand anti-smokers as what people want...

The things limiting me are opportunity, weather, money, and my girlfriend, who can't stand tobacco in any form but doesn't mind what I do when not around her (well, within reason :whistling: ). Being young seems to be synonymous with being poor, so I can't afford to light a box of Anejo Sharks...
