Just wanted to co-sign the overarching message of the thread. When I first joined this board I was big on Coors Light and Yeungling. They both taste like salty alka-seltzer now.

I haven't smoked in months. The last one I really enjoyed was a La Gloria Cubana N. It had some plume on it and it was incredibly smooth.

I went in looking for a Goose Island Nightstalker yesterday, but was told they aren't in season. So I ended up grabbing a 4 pack of Great Divide Yeti and a 6 pack of Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale...

I'd hold my nose and guzzle the bud as a buzz primer. After that, it would be between the Pliny and the Darkness, depending on what I'm eating. Just for a cold choice, I'd go for the double IPA first...

Just finishing a Yeti imperial stout...heaven in a bottle. Yesterday I had a couple of Oskar Blues' Dales Pale Ale, the first craft beer I ever tried in a can. It was actually really good. It tasted like a toned-down version of Flying Dog's Raging Bitch...

Right now in the middle of a Goose Island Night Stalker. Decent taste and a hellified buzz...but I prefer beers with less sweetness. By less, I mean none at all whenever possible.

Just finished a Padron 2000 natural. Insanely good, I didn't even bother analyzing it

After dinner, I had a cup of diet Dr. Pepper and dropped a shot of Maker's Mark in it. Didn' t taste good at all tbh.

I love Maker's Mark with ice, chased with some ice cold water or club soda. If I want to get DRUNK, I'll drink some bonded Old Granddad mixed with ginger ale or club soda.

Good job hanging in there. I'm still tapping out on milder cigars, but I'll get there...

So I just polished off an Arturo Fuente 858. I enjoyed it and thought it was really mellow overall. Since I'm trying to learn the flavors, it was a little disappointing that this one didn't seem to change up a lot. It started like a bitter chocolate, joined by some fragrant wood about halfway...

Thanks a lot guys, keep 'em coming. I just found a new spot closer to my home. They don't carry Tatuaje, but I grabbed a Padron 2000, Arturo Fuente 858, and a La Aroma De Cuba Monarch (which I believe the guy said was made by Pepin). I'll post my thoughts in the "Today's Smoke II" thread as...

Great review. I saw these at my regular shop a while back. I remember because they had this striking organic look to them...really enticing. Next time I went, they were all gone and I haven't seen them there since.

^Will do...and thanks. I'm actually planning to pick up a couple of Padron 2000s this evening - one Maduro and one Natural. Those and an Arturo Fuente Cuban Corona if they have it.
