Okay. How big is your wine-o-dor? I guess I assumed that there may be fluctuations in humidity and I would need to compensate for that. Thanks for the help.

I just purchased a wine-o-dor and am planning on using heartfelt beads to humidify it, however, since this is relatively new territory, should I use 65% or 70% beads? I typically like my smokes at 65%, however, to compensate for drops in RH while the unit is cooling, should I go with 70% beads?

Last night was not good. I found out that the crap Boveda packs I was using were not properly humidifying my humidor OR I hadn’t appropriately seasoned the humidor and now that thing is dry. Regardless, many of my cigars were sucked dry by the humi. My question is how (or if) I can restore...

okay, so salt testing one of the hygros as we speak. Just fired up a Ghurka shaggy and I am getting similar results, although this one seems to taste the same. Stale and bland. Also feels a bit dry. I am now thinking I don't have enough humidity, although I hadn't noticed this...

The cigar is staying lit, no problems going out at all. Is there a possibility that the humidor isn;t seasoned? I have no clue here...

Smoking the stick right now and it feels like a firm sponge and has no taste. Would this be a dead giveaway that my cigars are too moist? I am definitely going to get some beads now.

Just started having this problem. I am in the middle of smoking a Tatuaje Cojonu 2003, and man it tastes bland. No body or flavor..My hygrometer reads 64-65% at the bottom and around 62-63% at the top. There are two sections. I keep my cigars in the bottom section and have two 69% Boveda...

My own personal preferences are just about anything Fuente, but also a Padron 3000. It's a solid medium smoke for about $4 or less.

There are several places in my area that get OPX. None of them have any in as of now, and one shop just sold all of their Perfec #4's and #5's that they had left over from Christmas. Needless to say, I picked up as many as I could as between $7.00 and $8.50 per stick.
