My Quest for my "Perfect Morning Coffee Cigar"

A beautiful weekday morning here and I had a little bit of time to enjoy a coffee and a smoke, so I reached for what is becoming one of my favorite little coffee cigars, a Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso.

I find these to have a wonderful flavor, and the perfect size for this purpose and I just love the band on it also. My grandmother was from a British colony, and she loved Winston Churchill. I share her fascination with WSC, and also being an avid reader on history, I think that all lends itself to me liking this cigar even more.

Have a great Friday all!

My box of Curivari Reserva Limitada Cafe Petit arrived yesterday and I had to try one today. It is a beautiful sunny morning here in Ohio, with the temperatures in the mid 60s.

My first impressions after lighting this cigar up was that it might be a little bit too full-bodied for me as a morning coffee cigar. I got some pepper notes right off the bat, and as I continued to smoke it, they calmed down within the first 1/3 of the cigar and it had a nice, full flavor throughout. After a while, I did start to get the coffee and chocolate notes the other reviews note. One reviewer I saw, noted that this cigar was “meaty and savory”, which I also think describes this cigar well. It is definitely stronger than the other morning Cigars I’ve tried, as they have tended to be more on the mild side, and this one is listed as more medium to full bodied, which I believe is accurate.

Overall, I really enjoyed this cigar and how different it was compared to the others I have tried recently with my morning coffee. I do think because of the strength of the cigar, coffee is the perfect pairing. I will keep these little powerhouses on hand to have with my morning coffee on the patio, after a hearty breakfast, as I did today.

Thank you so much for the suggestion, and introducing me to this wonderful little cigar. It was a nice change of pace from the others I have enjoyed recently.

Make it a great day all!
