    Aging cigars with spices?

I've toyed with this idea also as one of my friends is in love with the Maker's Mark cigars. Hey, it keeps him away from mine. Give it a try. Just thinking out loud here but I'd use tupperware for the experiment. That way whatever flavors you wish to impart go straight to the cigars and...

    Why I love this hobby

Tonight while my wife was out at some event, I stepped out on the patio and lit up number 1 of 24 of my box of Tatuaje Red Labels. Sipping coffee, watching my dog run around the yard, I slowly smoked away all my worries and just enjoyed the quietness of the evening. I'm so thankful for these...

    For all you scholars

Oh gosh! I used to have that dream all the time during my last year of law school! No other dream has ever created as much anxiety as that one used to. Why would you remind people of this?!

Which would yould you buy ...

Depends on how much time you have to smoke them. I love Short Stories when I'm cooking outdoors. I light it the same time as the charcoal and when I'm finished with it, dinner is usually ready. I used to love the Classics but now I'm gravitating more toward corona gordas which I believe is a...

    Grandfather passed last night

My mom's dad passed away last night after several years of ill health. It was a welcome blessing and now I'm just longing for the day I can see him again. I don't have a memory of him without a big cigar sticking out of his mouth. He liked to chew them more than smoke them and since they were...

    SCHIP passes the House

The problem is now that you've got the House, Senate, and White House aligned, legislators and lobbyists are either guests at the table or they're on the menu. So in a slam dunk bill like this, you're right. It was a victory to keep cigarettes and cigars under different umbrellas. That's...

    Coffee Brewing Techniques

How To Repair A Torn Wrapper

Nice job. I used liquid pectin before but it doesn't have a very long shelf life after it's been opened. What about the powder, indefinite shelf life? This would be better than running out to the store everytime you find a loose wrapper.

    Any multitool users out there?

I'm inclined to keep the subscription to Outside Magazine as well. I've read a couple issues and it's pretty good. IMHO

    Any multitool users out there?

Over the last year, I've been picking up several outdoor activities/hobbies. Bought a mountain bike, been trail running, wife and I hike and I'm currently researching kayaking, and wanting to take my wife camping. Her version - holiday inn. Mine - Bear Grylls. We'll meet in the middle. "Ok...

One of the all time great Christmas movie quotes

Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no! We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here! We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing...

What are you traditional Christmas movies?

Anyone remember Mickey's Christmas Carol or am I high? I see Mickey's Once and Twice upon a Christmas all the time but never the Christmas Carol. Where do we think Scrooge McDuck came from?
