THAT is gold. Funniest post of 2008.

When did DPG become so popular?

I hope it is only a manner of time, and not that Don P gets the idea to make them a more HTF vitola (He's got Centurion for that). But hell, even if he only made Blue Lanceros once in a blue moon I'll be happy for the chance to smoke some more of these.

    No time for cigars

I haven't played around w/ DGT much, but I have found I don't like to do it with anything too sweet or w/ oriental tobbacos (in my case Early Morning Pipe.) But it works splendidly w/ the Frog (Morton on the Town)!

    No time for cigars

There is a whole culture built around letting a partial-smoked bowl rest, then returning to it. Called "Delayed Gratification Technique" or DGT... Buy a cob pipe for $5. It will beat the pants off of any $15 basket pipe.

    Forgotten Favorites

Also, I smoked Puros Indios like they were going out of style... The Pyramid especially. I think Mr. Reyes' ambition got the better of his production capability and the handful of 'modern' PIs that I've smoked left me longing for the old days. And Curly Heads... I haven't had one of those in...

When did DPG become so popular?

Gator, What is your storage humidity at? Have you tried dry-boxing Pepin-blended cigars before smoking? I found that after a handful of 'off' stick when I first started down the Tatuaje/DPG road that if I store closer to 60% then I would get a much better burn and a cleaner flavor. Might be...

    Forgotten Favorites

Speaking of El Credito, I used to love the El Rico Hanano Club in Maduro. I started smoking them when the Wavells became increasingly difficult to find. I had one about a year ago and it tasted like wet tube sock. I haven't been back down that road since. I still smoke a ton of Wavells though...

So, what did you get for Christmas?

I had quite a haul this year. Some highlights: Tatuaje table lighter Tatuaje long-sleeved shirt Laser-level Assasin's creed for the xbox mini pool table (i haven't put this one together yet, but looks pretty fun) some camera gear A RC plane that looks to be a lot of fun etc etc unfortunately...

Hoshnasi, Lets see your Boswell Wizard!

Wow! that looks very nice, thanks for the pics. That certainly is a very large bowl!

Hoshnasi, Lets see your Boswell Wizard!

How does it smoke? Is it tough to get a pipe cleaner into the bowl w/ the full-bend? I'm on the fence between a Boswell Wizard and a Churchwarden for my next pipe...

    What's in your pipe today?

I gave a friend a cob and a couple tins at our christmas party lastnight, and we smoked a bowl of the Peterson Holmes blend. Really tasty!

Like I really needed another expensive hobby...

You'll bemore than set-up with that amount of coin! You could get away w/ $50 by buying a couple of cobs and maybe three-four different blends. But you certainly will love your Boswell! Give Frog Morton on the Town a try. I don't think you can miss with that blend.

Did anyone buy their kids Rock Band?

As sad as it is, the truth is $$$. Well, $ and lawyers... Those bands (+ the often mentioned AC/DC) are notoriously tight w/ their licensing. And they are scared/unsure of anything that has to do with digital distribution. All this adds up to MOUNTAINS of legal problems that the games'...

Did anyone buy their kids Rock Band?

uh... What is the fun in that? Slashing windmills FTW. My RB guitar strum-bar went sound after a coupel of weeks with the game, but the replacement from EA was fast and easy... Don't let the hardware hiccups stop you from enjoying this awesome game!!
